Thai Lake Charles

Thai Lake Charles is hands down my favorite spot in town. The Tom Kah soup is rich and comforting, the Pad KraPao with shrimp is spicy and full of bold flavor, and the Yellow Curry is smooth, creamy, and packed with depth. The spring rolls are fresh, and those egg rolls? Crispy perfection. But that dipping sauce… I don’t even know how to describe it. It’s got this cool, savory cucumber twist that’s totally unexpected and unforgettable. The service is always excellent, and Jet (the owner) makes everyone feel like family. The vibe is relaxed, the food is top-tier, and the whole experience is something you’ll come back for again and again. If you haven’t tried this place yet—fix that.

The Tom Kha soup was fantastic, perfect amount of cilantro and the chicken and vegetables were perfectly cooked. Green Curry was flavorful. Just be aware that if you're a wimp about spice, moderate may be too much for you. I had my soup mild-moderate, and it was the perfect amount of spice (just enough to taste but not to need extra water). The mango sticky rice was delicious, the mango was very fresh and perfectly ripe, I think the sticky rice would have been a little better earlier in the day instead of nearly closing time. Atmosphere was lovely and staff was patient and very friendly. The only downside is the lack of tap soft drinks/water, but the food is so wonderful that you won't even care. We will definitely be coming back!

Very Delicious, Reasonable and Healthy options are excellent! The Portion size, and quantity does not disappoint as well as how you will love to modify your food. I order the number 44 Thai Mai Thai glass thin noddles w/ veggies and my choice of protein was Chicken. Thai Charles Lake is the best Thai restaurant hands down!

The Pad Thai Chicken was delicious. I got it at a 5 spice level but think I would go for a 7 next time. Brought the mango sticky rice home for my daughter and that was also very delicious. This was the first time I ate at this restaurant and was very pleased with the food. I will definitely go back.

Thai Lake Charles is an unpretentious place to go for delicious Thai food. It is clean and tastefully decorated in a minimalist way, and the people are welcoming and helpful. You order at the counter & pick up your eating utensils and napkins there. They bring your food to your table (& their cooks are on top of it). We've tried the green and the yellow curry soups (medium spice) and they are SO GOOD! Like, I am craving them today even though my husband & I both had appetizer portions for the past 3 days from purchasing a single bowl of each! In our two visits, we have liked everything we've chosen. Medium spice has us a bit sniffly, but in a good way! Oh, the first time we visited, we didn't notice, but last week my husband saw that there is a place for dishes to go (though they don't require it or even point it out). There are nice to-go containers on the counter for packing up leftovers. And the food was just as good (soups may have been better) on days 2 & 3. So happy to have discovered this place!

First time here. Very friendly staff. Great authentic Thai food. Lots to choose from on menu. I'll be back. Went back and ordered Pad Se Ew, Pad Mai Thai, and Green Curry. Everything was excellent as usual.

1st time here. Didn't know there was a Thai place at home. The space was clean and staff was friendly. The food was good. Different than some places I've visited but still good. Ordered yellow curry but was more red and I enjoyed still. Would go back.
