We were in Houston for a relaxing vacation and had this coffee shop on our list ahead of time since we’re vegan and wanted a solid spot for coffee and a light breakfast. We ended up going twice—and both visits were great. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the coffee and food were spot-on. My wife had the hot pistachio latte (with a perfect little swan on top), and I had it iced—both were creamy, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. She ordered the Mumbai Sandwich, which the staff described as a deconstructed samosa—it didn’t disappoint. Incredible flavor that kept you coming back for another bite. I went for the BBQ Korean taco, and it was so good I ordered a second one the next day. With so many vegan spots in Houston closing lately, this locally owned gem deserves all the support it can get. Here’s hoping they’re around for another 12 years!

today they offered free coffee to help bring community together in a time of need! ADORE it so much!! the vibes are great, workers are nice. it is disability accessible!!! we love to see it!! the coffee was surprisingly good, it’s better than starbucks in my opinion, i wanted to drink the whole cup in one sitting! its plant based, they have resources on some side tables, and GORGEOUS decorations. it felt like a safe space, especially for minorities and LGBT. i first visited here during a rough time in my life and the atmosphere brought me MAJOR comfort, so my first impression will always have positive associations. hope to visit this place again, my favorite coffee spot in houston thus far 🥲✨

It’s a small quirky space. Indoor and outdoor. So fun and relaxing. Nice coffee. Gives me "sustainability and cool" kinda vibe. I wish there were just a few more food / snack options. I like the swings and the outdoor area.

The vibes are always immaculate at Doshi, and they’re always updating their space. There’s plenty of seating both inside and out, and there were a couple businesses in the back as well, including a smoothie shop. Inside Doshi, there’s a small library and several comfy seats as well. The restroom is usually really clean and has some funny signage but you gotta come see that for yourself! Drinks I’d recommend are the sunrise tonic (+ginger shot sometimes) and ofc the chai latte. They are a dairy-free establishment, which we love.

Aligned Roots inside Doshi House is a hidden gem! The smoothies are super fresh and flavorful — you can tell they’re made with care. Plus, the space is shared with Monkey Boys (a cool clothing shop) and Foliage Fairy (a beautiful flower spot), which makes the whole vibe creative and relaxing. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

The Queen of Yum

One of my favorite coffee houses, located in the heart of Third Ward, keeps its charm and proudly serves vegan food. It's been here for many years, and I appreciate that their thoughtful expansion was planned with the community in mind. I had the amazing cinnamon roll, spiced chai latte, and their strawberry and cream cookie. Everything was really good. The chai latte had the perfect balance of spices, and the cookie was deliciously sweet and creamy. I do wish the cinnamon roll was a bit more moist, but it was still enjoyable, and I would definitely get it again. This place never disappoints!

Very happy to have a health conscious cafe in the neighborhood I grew up in. The food menu is very small but you can tell a lot of thought went into each item. It’s a very cozy space with plenty of potential. Staff was very kind and definitely gave off that warm coffee shop banter which I love. Would love for this place to excel and expand on the concept.
