Love the French food there! Delicious and reasonable priced. I ordered just a bowl of French Onion soup because I want to save some space for the dessert. What a pleasant surprise when it comes. That was a really big bowl. Flavorful beef broth, sweet onion and lots of melted cheese. That was one of the best onion soup I had. The dessert was amazing too. The lemon tart was light fluffy like cloud. Some many choices, you can not go wrong with any of them. Service was great. The waitress was very attentive and helpful even the place was packed. Next time I am in Portland area, I will visit here again for sure.
I called in an order and picked it up today at lunchtime, which is not too convenient for me as I live more than 20 minutes from the restaurant, however, I was looking forward to having a nice bowl of French onion soup with my sandwich. I made it clear on the order that I was wanting that soup upgrade. When I got home and opened up the food I saw I was giving some chicken and wild rice Soup instead. When I called in to see what could be done about this the manager was pretty rude on the phone to me, called me "sweetie" in this condescending tone and refused to refund my order other than $1.75 for the difference in the soup. I made it clear that I wanted specifically that combination of the sandwich with the French onion soup and she said there’s nothing they can do about it since I got what I paid for now since she refunded me that little bit of money. I asked to return the food and she said no they’re not going take it back because they can’t resell it to someone else. I think in a situation like this when it’s their error the right thing to do would’ve been to eat the cost and either agree to remake the meal for me or refund me fully, however, neither option was offered. As somebody who’s come to this restaurant for 10+ years now I was really disappointed with how rigid and uncompromising the manager was in addition to being condescending. For those reasons I will not be back to this restaurant. Such a shame because I do like the food.
WOW, no other way to explain La Provence. We arrived for lunch around 12:30 p.m. on a Sunday, the outdoor patio area was slam full of customers. We chose to sit inside, which was equally busy but we were seated very quickly. Our server was busy, handling numerous tables but was still very attentive. Our drink glasses were never empty. Their croissants were huge and the raspberry jam was amazing. Croissants come as an "appetizer" with some dishes. I ordered the hash browns, which were really good but after trying the home fries, I was disappointed. My Chef Omelet was chocked full of meat and cheese and very delicious. The service was outstanding, my wife was curious about the brand and flavor of their iced tea. The manager brought one of the tea packages to our table. Their desserts look incredible. Will definitely return.
This place is very nice. It has both indoor and outdoor dinning. We had the Monte Cristo and the Salmon Egs Benedict. Delicious!!! The place was super clean and the staff were attentive and nice. I say give them a go! High end food at a reasonable price. Oh, the French Onion soup was AMAZING, too.
This is absolutely a gem. Our server is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, giving us a quick summary of the menu so we could save some time deciding which one to order. The restaurant is well decorated and you might feel like a fine dining restaurant here. Now the food!! Yes it was quick giving the fact it was a bit busy already. Croissant is the main key here, big, buttery, and somewhat crispy. The omelette and egg Benedict were very too and so was the potatoes that came with it , tasty and sweet. There are a wide variety of dessert too which we should have tried but will save it for next time. Will come back again!!
We are a traveling family with more than 120 million views on social media Instagram: @manalbwehbeh The food is great The waiter was very kind - she named Anna There is a kids menu Great atmosphere cozy and cool The meals are big and enough for a person Obe thing that we didn’t like us that they bring the check and we paid fast, directly after we finished the food, there was Funtime to set and talk Highly recommend Good for families- staff meet..
Delicious croissant! I was impressed with their homemade jam! I do not really care about jam but theirs was tasty! Coffee is great as well. I prefer coffee over the latte. The staff was friendly, and it was better to visit early because of the crowd.
