Stopped by after dancing hula with my hula sistas. I've heard of Ross J's and glad I finally got to taste the food. I was told that they are the same owners as the Islander restaurant in The Cal 2nd Floor. The price point here is so much cheaper than others and the food is ono. I ordered the Menehune Roast Pork and Fried Noodles while my friends enjoyed their dishes. The roast pork was delicious. The Menehune plate is similar to a mini plate but to be honest, it wasn't really small. The meat was plentiful but the rice and mac salad is a smaller scoop from the regular plate. The fried noodles has a good flavor too. Overall great spot to dine at. It really reminds me of plate lunch spots in Hawaii. So Ono.

Delicious bowl! I got the spicy Korean chicken and it was so yummy! Big portions too.

Got the local platter and coworker got the steak platter, first things, the steak was paper thin same with the chicken, the chicken is lightly fried with a okay crisp, the teriyaki is very very mild, and for 13 dollars the portions were on the smaller side, they put a lot of rice to make up for it. The spam misubi were huge but again mostly rice. Honestly when it came out it was one of the more unappealing things I've seen. Over all not bad, but for price and amount there's much better options in the city.

Wow..A tasty Hawaiian style Korean chicken, beef combo bowl for $7?! Need I say more? Yum!

Walking into Ross J’s is like stepping off a plane in Honolulu minus the TSA pat down and the guy in front of you who brought six pineapples as carry ons. This is one of the few spots in Vegas that feels like an original Hawaiian café. Simple, comforting, and absolutely loaded with flavor. And let’s talk about prices for a second. In a city where you can pay $27 for avocado toast with a side of attitude, Ross J’s has somehow managed to keep their prices low. I honestly don’t know how they do it. Maybe they are just old school locals who believe you shouldn’t need a small loan to enjoy chicken katsu and garlic shrimp. The food? Quality every time. From the crispy mochiko chicken to the perfectly charred BBQ beef, everything screams authentic. It’s the kind of place where you leave full, happy, and maybe even humming a little Israel Kamakawiwoʻole on the way out.

Hands down the best macaroni salad I have ever eaten. I ordered a combo plate with Mahi, Ribeye steak, and grilled chicken, and it included white rice and Mac salad. The ribeye had teriyaki sauce (not a big fan of teriyaki) and was sliced thin. The portion of chicken was large and tasty. The Mahi was my least favorite because it tasted like something other than Mahi. But the macaroni salad was simply the best. Kudos for good service as it was quite busy at lunch. Recommended!!

I’ve passed by this place many times but today I decided to stop by and now I have a goto spot for great Hawaiian food. First impression: this is a real Hawaiian restaurant like you’d find on Kona or on a trek to NorthShore on Kamehameha. I’ll get to the food in a minute but this place ooozes "Ohana" (family). Everyone who came in seemed to be a long time customer and the connections were beyond customer and business owner. I LOVE PLACES LIKE THIS!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food was Bombay "really good". I had the hamburger katsu loco moco style. The katsu was perfectly fried and the gravy was thick and flavorful. I was more than happy with my choice and I can’t wait to go back. They have daily specials which to me makes good restaurants great. The restaurant was clean and one of the first things I noticed when I walked in was the smell of delicious food being prepared. You’d be surprised by the number of restaurants that don’t have the pleasant smell of food to pull you all the way in the doors. This is one of my first indicators of a good restaurant when I walk in. Keep up the great work and I’ll be back may times.
