Otto Izakaya Downtown

I’ve been a regular since last year and this place never disappoints. Not only is their sushi good and fresh, but their other fusion dishes and traditional dishes are also delicious. The kimchi fries are to die for. If you don’t know which appetizer to order. That’s the one. A lot of changes have been going on, but it’s in a good way. New interior and environment, which seems much cleaner and upscale. Staff are all nice and attentive and can answer questions about the menu and they’re patient with you. I see the owner frequently there and that’s how I know the ingredients are fresh because he is on top of it and also helps out himself.

Bam was amazing! She was so attentive and quick with us. The food and ambiance were 10/10. Honestly stopped in tired after a day of traveling and didn’t expect to stay long, but ended up staying almost 3 hours! It was so good, the food, drinks, and ambiance. 100/10 recommend . Happy hour is amazing!!! We got a ton of hand rolls, the Brussel sprouts, and omg the drinks, lyche martini, cosmo, Negroni, and smoked old fashion. So good. Finished with a playboy roll.

Good food and service. They only complaint was the spare ribs. Not worth $32, mostly fat and bones. Kimchi fries, rolls and other appetizers were delicious!

Good food nice ambience. The personnel is great, they are warm, patient and always making a better experience for the customers. The food is good, good tasting sushi and starters.

Otto Izakaya is a wonderful sushi restaurant. It's a MUST TRY if you're in the downtown area of Greenville. I ordered the Samurai roll, chicken fried rice, and the crispy Brussels. The restaurant is clean and staff are friendly.

Came for a farewell dinner to a friend moving out of town. We had apps and dinner. Our server Bam was awesome and very attentive. I can’t wait to come back! We got the spicy pork belly, torch salmon and pork ramen. 10/10

I was really hoping for an authentic Japanese dining experience, but unfortunately, the ramen was a letdown. It tasted like it came straight from a packet — definitely not made from scratch, which was disappointing for a restaurant setting. I came in expecting something traditional and flavorful, but it felt more like a shortcut meal. The hand-rolled sushi was fine — nothing exceptional, but decent enough. Overall, a very average experience. If you’re looking for real, traditional Japanese flavors, this might not be the place.
