I had the pleasure of experiencing Chez Olga during my very first visit to MI, back in mid-February. The atmosphere and vibes were immaculate throughout the entire dining experience. Every single dish was complementary to the next, while still highlighting its own unique, delicious flavor. I tend to have a low tolerance for spice, but Olga's homemade coleslaw, sampler plate, and signature gumbo reframed my taste buds for the better. The customer service I received was phenomenal. Definitely coming back in the New Year ~ 10/10 would recommend this Grand Rapids gem!

Fantastic find - the food was absolutely amazing. Hardy food with interesting and unique spice combinations. The curry is nice and sweet and the jerk chicken was falling off the bone. The chef, Olga, came out to chat with the diners and have a glass of wine and conversation at the table. Overall 5 star experience all around - will definitely be back.

I’ve never been to a restaurant that I loved more than Chez Olga. Top tier food service and atmosphere. The food is soooooo good! The mango drink is to die for. It’s always so hard to pick when u go because everything is literally that good! If you’re in Grand Rapids you HAVE to try it! 10/10 highly recommend

I recently celebrated my daughter’s birthday with my sister at the truly amazing restaurant, and I’m still thinking about the experience! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how unique and beautiful the building was — it’s truly a hidden gem with stunning architecture. Inside, the atmosphere was cozy, cute, and instantly welcoming. The food? Absolutely to die for. Every single bite was packed with the perfect balance of spice and flavor. We indulged in the Creole Sampler, Jerk Chicken, Jerk Pasta with Shrimp, and the Pasta Chez Olga with Chicken — and every dish was outstanding. To finish, we shared the heavenly Creole Cheesecake, which was the best dessert I’ve had in a long time. I also tried their refreshing papaya passionfruit juice, and wow — it was the perfect complement to the meal. This was my first time trying Jamaican/Haitian and Caribbean cuisine, and I was beyond impressed. You can immediately tell that everything is cooked fresh and from scratch, with incredible attention to flavor and detail. The portions were generous, and every bite was like a little taste of heaven. To top it all off, the owner and cook personally stopped by our table to greet us with the warmest, most beautiful smile — it made the experience even more special. If you’re craving authentic, freshly prepared Caribbean food that’s well worth the wait, Chez Olga is a must-visit. I can’t wait to go back!

Stopped by for dinner last night. I’ve always wanted to try this restaurant out but wasn’t sure if we would like their food. Let me tell you that this is one if the best meals we have had in a while. It’s not often that you find a place that has homemade delicious food. It was a full house yesterday from the moment we sat down until we left not an empty table. There is a bit of a wait on the food but once you get it you will not be disappointed. I recommend you go when you are hungry and not in a rush. The portions are also plenty for two people. We ordered the Jerk chicken and shrimp gumbo substituted the rice on the gumbo shrimp for fried rice. We shared both of these meals and still had lots of left overs. Everything was absolutely delicious. The owner is so sweet. We will definitely make this one of our to go spots when we are craving a delicious Caribbean meal. Recommend this hidden gem. You will not be disappointed. I almost forgot to mention that we had their coconut cheesecake it was delicious 🥰

Great place. Home-style cooking. Large portions. Had the fried plantains that are always delicious and the spicy slaw is killer, along with the jerk chicken which was so incredibly flavorful. Great friendly service... a bit slow bc of how full it got quickly on a Saturday for lunch but hard to be helped when you're a delightful, family-run place in Eastown.

Everything was great. The food tasted wonderful and I never had Caribbean food before. But everything about this place is a 10/10. The owner came to talk to us and I love her!
