Subpar sashimi and just average rolls unfortunately, and while our waitress was kind, the rest of the staff was not. Bright and colorful decor could not make up for a lackluster experience. There is much better sushi and service elsewhere. We had the crab rangoons (they were fine) but the rolls and sashimi we tried were not great. Fish was just not fresh, the toro was noticably stale, and the uni was possibly the worst I have ever had. Big waste. Rolls were better, the volcano and lazy shack rolls were decent, just not particularly memorable. Probably the weirdest thing is while our waitress.(Mary I think?) was very friendly and engaging the whole night, it was undone by another staff member who began clearing our table during the middle of our meal so she could get a jump on wrapping up for the night apparently. Just odd and poor.

This is a decent sushi spot in Frederick. I'd say the sushi was pretty good and fresh, but not the best I've had. Somewhat limited in the rolls they have. For appetizers, we had the Calamari and the Salmon Tatare. Both were very good. For dinner, I had the Lazy Rainbow, a Salmon Avocado roll, and some Salmon rolls. All were pretty good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Our party also shared a Baltimore roll and that was ok. Someone else in our party got the Lazy Spaghetti. That was an interesting dish, especially at a sushi restaurant, that had a Thai/curry twist to it. Pretty good and pretty unique. Overall, a good meal here with decent to average sushi rolls.

The vibe was so cozy and decor was amazing. Now food. I’ve tried Sushi from a lot of different places in the area, this one was far best. The texture, flavors and selection was amazing. Had a really great time.

Lazy Fish is a great place for unique high quality raw fish. They have the standard rolls...but then some fun Maryland inspired ones. The Baltimore roll has real crab with Old Bay. Last night we were able to get a special live scallop dish served in its shell. Their service is always warm and they always ensure my daughter gets her allergies watched out for. Mary made her night last night by scoring the last hamachi dish!

I came to eat solo and the staff was pretty nice. My server, I think her name was Iran, was very sweet. The food was nice as well. I got the Lazy shack roll, the dragon lady, and two types of chicken dumplings. The lazy shack was my favorite, but was not a fan of the dumplings at all. Overall good experience though!
