Sunfish

First time checking this spot out! Both times I called ahead I was treated super respectfully, and walking in you’re greeted with fresh sushi right up front. Place is smaller than I expected, but they’ve got cold drinks, fresh seafood, and other Asian dishes too. I came for the sushi and tried the Bengal Tiger Roll — fresh, spicy, and really good 😊. The shop is run by a mother and son, and they’re doing an awesome job. Next time I’m around I’ll definitely try another roll. Highly recommend if you’re craving sushi on the go or just passing through town!

My husband and I first started getting our seafood and fish from Sunfish years ago. We happened to come across it going to the Asian market and we met Will. He was so friendly and helpful that we made sure that it was added to our grocery shopping trips. Over time I can say that he's considered a family friend at this point and we will not go anywhere else for our seafood. The service and fresh fish made us lifetime customers. We now do not care to go get sushi and other yummy foods from anywhere else but here. My kids even love his selection! I recommend to everyone to stop by. I always leave with great food and a smile.

This fish market stands out as exceptional in terms of quality and cleanliness. While a certain level of fish odor is to be expected, it is not overpowering as in many other fish markets I have visited in Fayetteville. The service is prompt and efficient, and they offer a diverse selection beyond just fish, including a variety of Asian food products.

If you love creative, fresh, and delicious sushi, Sunfish is your place! The owner, Will shows off his 20+ years of experience as a sushi chef creating unique sushi you will not find anywhere else. The crab is not imitation, the fish is fresh, the sauces are hand made. Everything is fantastic. I have a hard time picking out any favorites. Will and his family offer incredible, friendly service with a smile. They are so passionate about their food and only want you to enjoy your experience. His mom makes the Korean Banchan. I was blown away by the the dried radishes (a new thing that Will was determined I try.) The fish cakes, squid, and onion salad were also delicious. If there is something in the store that you are unfamiliar with, don't be afraid to ask. Will and his family have handpicked all the items in the market and will be happy to explain any of their items. All dishes are to go. Sunfish market also offers fresh, quality seafood, Bugolki, Korean snacks, Korean drinks, and treats. It is a fun market to visit and definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend.

My first impression is that this establishment is awesome. Will, resident sushi chef, not only makes some exquisite rolls and sashimi he's very proud of, but is also extremely informative about all their products and his lively demeanor made my whole day. Their sushi's great and since it's made fresh with the fish they carry the morning of, I assume the standalone fish from here is fresh, delicious and well priced, too. (In the picture of the "Magma Roll" there's two pieces missing, because I couldn't help myself prior to snapping the photo. Since it was absolutely delicious. 😙👌 it's very Korea/Japan fusion style and just incredible.)

Today was my first time eating the sushi from Sunfish. My only complaint is that I hadn’t done so sooner. Absolutely the best sushi I have ever eaten in my life. Will really puts his heart into his creations! I went in to pick up 2 trays and left with 5. If you’re looking for mouthwatering sushi, look no further.

10/10 The service is top tier, exceptional, knowledgeable! The food, will amaze you, delicious, refreshing! It felt like a home away from home. Cozy and professional all at once.
