Located across from Danbury mall. People at my job have been ordering from here for weeks. It smelled and looked great, so I decided to order with them. I wasn’t disappointed. You can order in person, or online and pickup like I did. Order was ready when promised. When you order takeout, they give you an insulated food bag to keep your order warm as long as possible. The food is great. There is a wide variety of corn dogs, wings, soup dumpling, etc. I got the wings, beef fried rice, and corn dogs. I messed up with my corn dog order. I ordered the mozzarella dog which I assumed had a hot dog in it. I was wrong. You have to order the half mozzarella and half hot dog for that. Lesson learned. The breading was tasty and had lots of flavor. The wings are very crispy and tender. Lots of flavor and looks good for presentation in the box. The beef fried rice was very good. Lots of beef in it, not just mostly rice. I will definitely order from here again.
Quick bite to eat. Fast service, decent atmosphere. The cleanliness could be more up-kept but not the end of the world. Fried chicken was a 5/5. Amazing soy garlic flavor with a beautiful crunch. Pan fried dumplings were average, 3/5. The sauce served on the side tasted great with a hint of ginger. Fried rice was average, 3/5. Overall, 4/5 decent place to get a quick bite and an Asian food fix.
Nice variety of dishes. Big serving sizes. Bubble tea is delicious. The staff was very attentive even though they were busy. You can order via kiosk or counter. They accommodated my allergy and recommended safe dishes.
Excellent delicious food! Very clean, easy to order, friendly staff and good prices. Ordered the chicken wings, super crispy and sauce was spectacular. Had the soup dumplings also very good, and pork buns, fresh ingredients, nice flavor. Lychee tea and milk tea also nice and tasty. Will definitely be coming here regularly. So happy this opened in Danbury. Can’t wait to go back. The robot that brought the teas out also very cool.
Finally tried Papa Panda, and this review is based on takeout. Food was ready in 20 minutes after placing an online order, and everything was packaged well. The braised pork rice bowl was good; small pieces of cut-up pork belly were tasty, mixed with mustard greens brightened the dish. However, the ratio of meat vs rice is disappointing; there was a lot of rice, not enough meat. Miso ramen was just okay. Very strong miso taste vs the pork broth. I wasn’t a fan, but the chashu pork and shoyu soft-boiled egg were perfect. It’s not the spicy miso ramen that I’m used to. But I’m willing to try the tonkotsu and see if it has that milky, rich, intense pork broth that I’m looking for and update the review.
I’ve wanted to visit PaPa Panda ever since I found out it’s connected to Papa Tea in the mall! The menu is super diverse and has something for everyone who wants to try Asian flavors. The interior is super clean, and the staff was very patient as I made my choices, and overall felt very welcoming! I got the chicken barbecue steamed bao buns (4 per order) as takeout and waited around 7-8 minutes. They’re super flavorful, but I didn’t taste the BBQ flavor too strongly. It has more of an umami flavor and is delicious and pillowy: I would return to try more options and the staple, bubble tea.
This is exactly what we all needed! Fantastic restaurant and staff. Food was really really good and has a lot of variety you do not see in our area. Restaurant is clean, modern, and utilizes technology in cool ways. Wishing them a ton of success as now that we have been there I don’t think we can live without it!
