Daeho Kalbijjim & Beef Soup

Been wanting to try this location since mom said they give you so much and it’s delicious. My sister ordered their short rib stew (one with cheese and one without), fried chicken and the jap chae. For drink: we tried the lychee soju. The short rib stew with no cheese is sweet. The meat falls of the bone tender. So good. Also tried the one with cheese, it just not as sweet but it’s as tender. Yummy. Would I go back yes. But I do recommend to make reservations. The place was quite busy. The service was excellent.

Fantastic experience at Daeho Kalbijjim & Beef Soup! The banchan was delicious and endless, the Dwaeji Kimchi Sundubu (pork tofu soup) was full of flavor and heat, and the Premium Kalbijjim was cheesy, gooey, and unforgettable. Great food, great vibe, and amazing service. Ignacio was our waiter and absolutely awesome - he even remembered my wife’s sister’s birthday and surprised us with a cake at the end! 🎂This is easily one of Concord’s best spots — we’ll be back for sure! 💯

The noodle soup was very good. The broth looks light, but the flavor is surprisingly rich and deep. It’s the kind of soup you actually want to finish. The side dishes were decent overall, nothing bad but nothing particularly memorable either. It was a bit disappointing that there were no fish cake side dishes, which would have added more variety. The signature dish is very eye catching. They pour melted cheese over it at the table, which feels more like a performance. It comes with a generous amount of beef short ribs, potatoes, carrots, and a small portion of rice cakes. The flavor is okay, but it’s quite salty and definitely needs to be eaten with rice. The rice itself was just average. It felt like too much water was used, so the texture was slightly mushy. Prices are on the higher side. It’s fine to try once, but if I come back, I would probably stick to the soup dishes.

We tried a few kinds of tofu soup here for lunch! The seafood and beef soups were both delicious, while the intestines version was just alright. I really enjoyed the unique banchans — especially the sea jelly and chives. Overall, great value for the price! Hard to believe there were only a few tables of customers here. Definitely a spot worth recommending!

We had such a great time at the restaurant. The food, service staff were fantastic. The atmosphere was fun, nice, clean and simple. Their kalbijjim with cheese was so flavorful and delicious, I enjoyed all the side dishes. I will come back again soon. Price:$$$

Came in for my birthday dinner and the food was so delicious. My only gripe is the small dishes that they put the veggies in, the portions were small but it was unlimited. We had the Premium Kalbijjim and it was amazing. The Jogae Kal Guksu was flavorful and the broth was as perfect. We also had two soups that were flavorful as well. October 31, 2025 dinner doors opened at 430pm Sharpe. Highly recommend.

Daeho Kalbijjim & Beef Soup in Concord is a fantastic spot for anyone craving a unique dining experience. The restaurant boasts a modern and stylish design, with sleek, contemporary decor that makes for a pleasant atmosphere. The original silverware, along with the very slim chopsticks (hard to grab), adds an intriguing touch to the overall aesthetic. The customer service is top-notch, although we did experience a bit of a shuffle with the waitresses, who changed four times during our visit. Despite that, the service remained friendly and attentive throughout. As for the food, the presentation is absolutely beautiful, particularly the Bulgogi and Yachae, which were almost too good to eat (though we certainly did!). The taste is outstanding, with every dish delivering bold, rich flavors that show off the authenticity and care in the preparation. Giant entries, so be ready to EAT! A great spot for a memorable meal!
