This microbrewery delivers an outstanding experience from start to finish. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between relaxed and refined, making it an ideal spot for a casual meal, a night out, or a quick stop for a quality craft pour. Their selection of house-brewed beers is exceptional—balanced, flavorful, and clearly crafted with real passion and precision. The food matches the quality of the brewery. Every dish is well executed, fresh, and thoughtfully paired to complement their beer lineup. From appetizers to entrées, each plate shows attention to detail and consistent care in preparation. Service is another highlight. The team is knowledgeable about the brews, attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely welcoming. They make the experience feel smooth, efficient, and enjoyable. Overall, this microbrewery restaurant stands out for its craftsmanship, quality, and hospitality. It’s the kind of place you visit once and immediately add to your favorites list. A must-try for anyone who appreciates great beer, great food, and great service.

We had the basic tour, three of us in our group plus another couple The tour was informative and fun, mainly because our guide was a very nice and engaging young girl who clearly enjoyed talking about the history of the brewery as well as how the current operation works. The tap room has specialty brews that may not be available at your usual retailer, and the gift shop has lots of clothing and other beer themed items with the Sierra Nevada brand fun visit and a great place to eat too.

I entered the restaurant with no expectations, and I didn’t come alone. It was me and my girlfriend. It was her idea. I never expected what would happen to me in this place. When we sat at our table, I ordered a coffee with our waters. I enjoyed my date, and when my coffee arrived it was actually huge. Just the right temperature too. I sipped and talked, and ordered too. This is where it went down. Our server was a blonde girl, very nice and friendly. We ordered the garlic bread, my girl got the fish tacos, and I got the Royal Patty Melt. Fancy sounding. I requested it medium rare, because I thought it was a burger, and the server responded that it could only be cooked medium well because they were thin patties stacked on top of each other. I said that was fine. But was it? As my date went to the bathroom, I stewed over my coffee with a heavy heart. I said it was fine, but now I was having second thoughts. Was it really meant to be, me and this patty melt? I wanted a juicy burger, pink and tender. Medium rare. I hadn’t wanted to compromise. Not tonight. My stomach was twisting into knots. I felt absolutely conflicted. Then my girlfriend came back, and our conversation along with some delicious garlic bread and marinara brought my mind back to the moment, relieving me for the time being. But my second thoughts still lingered in the back of my mind. Shortly after finishing our bread, the main courses arrived. It was a sandwich. My heart sank. I didn’t know if I was a sandwich guy by this point. I was a bundle of nerves. It looked good though, with that perfectly buttered up crunchy finish on both the bread and fries. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad after all. And then it happened. I ate a few fries, a little ketchup. And I finally brought the patty melt to my lips and took a bite. I don’t like to exaggerate, but do you remember that time in Ratatouille when he eats the grape with the cheese? It was legit like that. No lie, I started to sweat a bit. The meat wasn’t just juicy, or tender, it was succulent. Every flavor was more bold than the last. Savory steak juice blended into the creamy tartness of the cheese, and the crunchy pickles melted in my mouth before a caramelized onion finish. I would say no glaze, but they were. The onions were glazed to perfection. The bread was crisp and light, and when I returned to the fries it felt like a switch had turned on in my brain. It’s like when your third eye opens and you see something in a way you never could. They were crackling and crispy, and by the time I was done it was hard to resist from licking the plate. All that being said, the dessert was pretty good. Cookie dreamscape, the cookie was fye. But that sandwich will stay on my mind for a while. It really was royal. I was in the parking lot with that sort of afterglow that feels like you’ll never be the same but the world keeps turning and you just kind of have to accept it. Idk. I don’t wanna overhype it. Just try the patty melt. It’s pretty friggin good.

Wow, my only wish is that I had two stomachs! Definitely worth driving five hours for! This brewery has been on our bucket list for so long! I'm glad we made the trip and it was definitely worth it! Not only was the beer good but the food was delicious and the staff was phenomenal! We are spending the night in the area and will be back in the morning for lunch because it was so good and there were so many plates we wanted to try! Tonight I had the rooster chicken sandwich tossed in their buffalo sauce. My wife had the fish tacos. We both loved our meal! As an appetizer we had the pretzel and it was the first time I had wished there was more pretzel because there was so much cheese! Everything was delicious and it was a great experience overall! The kids cheese pizza and broccoli macaroni and cheese were big hits as well! Glad we went out of our way for this!

Loved everything about this taproom—about 20 varieties of beer on tap, full service restaurant with good food, and an extensive gift shop. Pro-tip: visit the gift shop first, as it closes earlier and is accessed through a separate entrance about 50 yards from the taproom (there is also a small beer counter with taps in the gift shop area).

Visited May 17th. See receipt as always. Wow..love this place in Chico! They open at 11am and the line was forming fast!! They do take reservations but was unable to get one so I got there early ( 1050am!) We sat up at the bar and we were served immediately. We are not big drinkers so we tried the beer sampler ( 4 beers). Really liked the porter! We split the huge pretzel with some yummy beer cheese and it was warm and delicious! ( plus leftovers). We also split the smash burger and chips. The burger was perfect and the chips had a little spice to them which we really liked! ( more leftovers!) It was packed within a half hour due to large groups coming in for graduation. It's a fun atmosphere with friendly employees as well as friendly diners. Good portions and a great menu to choose from. They also have regular tours which I might do next time! They have indoor and outside seating. Btw...it smells so good when you enter the restaurant...almost like a BBQ! Definitely recommend this place!
