I had such a genuinely wonderful experience and felt like it deserved a detailed shoutout. (Side note: my partner and I travelled 2 hours from Dana Point.) From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully curated, clean, cozy, and full of those little touches that make you feel comfortable settling in for a great meal. The food was absolutely incredible. Every dish we ordered tasted fresh, vibrant, and clearly made with care. You can tell they put real intention into their ingredients and flavor combinations, nothing felt like an afterthought. Even dishes that are typically simple were elevated with creative seasoning and presentation. It’s the kind of place where whether you’re vegan or not, you leave impressed (and very full). What really made the experience stand out, though, was our server, Jasmine. She was exceptional from start to finish. Attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She took the time to answer our questions, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made sure everything came out perfectly. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guests having a good experience. It’s rare to find service that feels this personal and seamless — she checked in at all the right moments and kept such a positive, welcoming energy the entire time. Jasmine truly elevated our visit and is a huge part of why we’ll be coming back. Between the amazing food, inviting atmosphere, and top-tier service, this place has easily become one of my favorite local vegan spots. Highly recommended!! Thank you for taking such good care of two weary travelers.
Love this place, just know it’s really expensive going in. With that said, it’s worth the drive to get the variety of vegan and vegetarian options. It just fun and exciting to try new food options. Also, they sale Palo Santo! Love!
Ahhhhhhh where have u been all my life?!! I absolutely love this place. Well it’s my first time I came here and I had the breakfast special, it was sooooooo delicious!!
Follow Your Heart Market & Café is easily one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve tried! I ordered the Multi-Grain Mushroom Burger with housemade coleslaw and sweet potato fries, plus a Red Zinger iced tea — everything was flavorful, satisfying, and clearly made with care. The only tiny downside (but not a dealbreaker at all) was the sautéed onions — they were a bit tough to bite through and I ended up pulling them out with each bite. Still, the burger was delicious! Some great extras worth noting: • 100% vegan menu • They use reverse osmosis water for both drinking and cooking • Ingredients aren’t all organic, but quality is still excellent • Attached to a market with unique finds • I picked up a couple of copper bracelets ($10 each) and some garlic & olive oil hummus with crackers • The market has three unisex restrooms, all clean • And the music was really good — added to the relaxing, positive vibe Friendly staff, tasty food, and a welcoming space — can’t wait to come back!
Iconic small eatery for classical American 70’s vegetarian food. The service is excellent and the staff are so friendly. Food is very well prepared and nostalgic. Good vibes and filling portions. Plus the grocery store has tons of fun stuff like books and clothes.
My wife and I recently visited Follow Your Heart, a vegan restaurant in Canoga Park, California. We spent $80 on our meal, which is expensive by any measure, and afterward I tried to purchase a few groceries. To my disappointment, I was denied the use of my EBT card. That moment was disheartening—after spending so much, I was shocked that they would not allow me to use assistance for basic items. By refusing SNAP/EBT, Follow Your Heart sends the message that only the wealthy are welcome. Vegan food is often celebrated as compassionate and inclusive, yet here the poor are excluded from even buying essentials. This practice undermines the very values of kindness and equality that plant‑based living is supposed to represent. It is painful to see a business that could be a beacon of inclusivity instead shut its doors to those who need it most. Until this policy changes, I will never step foot in their establishment again, and I encourage others to reflect on whether they want to support a business that turns away the poor. True compassion is not only about what’s on the plate—it’s about who is allowed to eat. If Follow Your Heart truly cares about people, they must open their doors to all, rich and poor alike.
I’ve been wanting to visit Follow Your Heart for the longest time, and it did not disappoint! The store is absolutely adorable, filled with so many great products—special shoutout to the oat milk, which is absolutely delicious. We also ate at the café, and the fettuccine Alfredo was fantastic, hands down one of the best I’ve ever had! It even came with cooked kale that was surprisingly delicious. The staff was super friendly, and the service was amazing, making the whole experience really enjoyable. The only thing that caught my attention was they were selling felt purses for kids that had a tag saying 100% wool from Nepal. I’m not sure they realize how cruel the wool industry can be, so maybe reconsider those, especially for kids. Overall, though, we had a wonderful time, and I will definitely be coming back!
