Vsry dark place with a great happy hour menu. Had the burger and chicken sandwich. Both were very good and cooked just right. The drinks are super good. The grapefruit drink is good but small and pricey. Staff was great and the place is very open with lots of room.

We are back again at Little Donkey, this time as a party of three. First thing I want to do is give a shout out to our server, Whitney, and Joe, who is the floor manager. They took such great care of us. The service was amazing! The food, once again, was outstanding! Fresh oysters, brussel sprouts, bao buns, desserts, all of them were amazing! You can tell this is a kitchen that clicks at all times and really cares about the food that they prepare. Go to Little Donkey. You will not regret it!

Little Donkey succeeds by embracing range without losing control, delivering a globally inspired menu that remains grounded, energetic, and confidently executed. The food is eclectic by design, but not scattered. Dishes pull from multiple regions while maintaining clarity and balance, avoiding the trap of fusion for fusion’s sake. Flavors are bold but considered, portions are generous without excess, and plates arrive complete rather than overworked. While not every dish is revelatory, the overall batting average is high—an impressive feat for a menu this broad. Service is relaxed, friendly, and well-paced, reinforcing the restaurant’s approachable tone. Staff guide comfortably without overexplaining, and the room runs smoothly even at volume. Hospitality here feels natural rather than scripted. The atmosphere is lively and social, with an energy that feels intentional rather than chaotic. It’s a place designed for groups, shared plates, and conversation, and it delivers on that promise consistently. Verdict: Little Donkey earns four stars through confidence and cohesion. It balances ambition with accessibility, offering food that’s fun, satisfying, and well-executed in a room that people genuinely enjoy spending time in.

I love this restaurant the little donkey. I was amused with the name at first, and then realized that the chef must be extraordinary to be able to name his restaurant little donkey. I was right the food was extraordinary. The staff was accommodating and very pleasant I highly recommend if you are in Cambridge to visit this establishment you’ll have an amazing meal.

Little Donkey was definitely an experience! Everything we got was interesting, even if I didn't love it. I would recommend this if you're a fan of trying new tastes.

The food at Little Donkey is so unique and flavor forward! It’s delicious and always a fun time and I really appreciate how often they change the menu while still keeping some of their star dishes like the fried rice and the miso cacio e Pepe! This post was made in connection with a Toast promotion.

The atmosphere is nice, but the food is very very average. The Bangkok noodles and octopus were overcharred, such that none of the other flavor notes came through almost at all. An extra star for gluten free consciousness. But it was a two star experience in terms of the culinary side. And very pricey for tapas. If you end up here with a group of friends, it won’t be the worst thing, but don’t waste a date night.
