Customer Reviews
Republik Coffee Burbank has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 based on over 339 reviews on Google
This place is a great spot to study or get work done. There are plenty of charging outlets, and the WiFi is reliable, which makes it easy to stay productive for a few hours. The coffee is excellent, and the food is really good too. Everything tastes fresh and well made. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, making it an ideal café for both work and relaxing. Highly recommend!
Place was packed, cute aesthetic though. Ample seating inside and out. Line to the door. I ordered an iced pistachio latte with Oatmilk and the pistachio foam and my friend ordered the ube latte hot. The ube came first which was not liked at all…my iced latte took literally over 20 minutes to come to the table and I did not taste even a hint of pistachio. It’s a cute place, but if you’re a serious coffee person, you’ll probably be disappointed.
Hidden gem in the Burbank town center! Okay I’m not sure if it’s really "hidden" but the outdoor seating area feels very private and cozy. It’s a little hide away from the busy streets outside. We ordered mocha, americano, and a banana cake. They are all great, with elegant presentation. We will definitely come back again when we are in the area.
I got breakfast plate - the sausage were not meaty like made out of soy, pickled onions were out of place. The rest was decent. Outside patio was OK, the music was blasting beyond comfort level, and seats were not comfortable. The food was server fairly quick, the service was great. Seems that locals like this place, to me it was one and done.
First time here, was in the area — got the honey lavender matcha and a breakfast burrito. the matcha was a lil milky but had good flavor. LOVED the burrito— but the potato chunks were a lil too chunky 🥵 still had a pleasant experience and great service 🙂
When we first walked in, the place looked clean and well-maintained. We were served quickly, and the cashier was generally friendly, but no one offered any additional recommendations or suggestions. To the left of the cashier, there was a small display case with croissants, pastries, and sandwiches. However, the case was quite small, and everything inside looked somewhat dried out, as if it had been sitting there for too long. We decided to sit outside. The outdoor waiter was not particularly friendly—there were no smiles, no greetings, and no one checked on the guests to see if they were satisfied. The service felt indifferent. We ordered two ham and cheese croissants, a flat white, and an espresso tonic. The drinks were fine—nothing special. The croissant was mediocre but served hot. However, the service sequence was off. They brought the croissant first, even though our drinks weren’t ready yet. It would have made more sense to serve the drinks first and then the food. Our table was quite dusty and not very clean. We didn’t ask for it to be wiped down, but it should have been done before we sat down. When the croissant was served, no one asked if I needed utensils, nor did they say anything polite like "Enjoy your meal." The croissant was simply placed on the table, with only a basic white napkin underneath it—on a visibly dirty table. When our drinks finally arrived, we asked for utensils. The waiter brought us two plastic forks and two plastic spoons, again placing them directly on the dirty table. However, we noticed that other guests had proper metal utensils. We had to go back and ask for regular cutlery, which was then brought to us wrapped in a napkin. The flat white was served in a dirty cup—it had visible stains and watermarks, clearly not washed properly. The espresso tonic was served in a plastic cup, which felt cheap and out of place. Overall, I was disappointed. Despite the 4.5-star rating, the service, food, and overall experience were underwhelming. No one checked on us, no one asked if we liked our food or drinks, and there was no interest in customer feedback. The restroom was relatively clean, and the indoor seating area was tidy and fully occupied. However, the dirty tableware, low-quality plastic utensils, and lack of attention to service were major letdowns. No one offered sugar, cinnamon, or syrups, and when I specifically asked if they had sugar-free syrups, they said they didn’t. Additionally, placing napkins directly on a dirty table is simply unacceptable. There should at least be coasters or trays to maintain hygiene. I am giving this place 2 out of 5 stars. I was disappointed and wouldn’t recommend it based on this experience.
Very kind staff and cute atmosphere. The cappuccino was seriously disappointing. Brazil and Guat beans? Brazil is arguably the most boring and inexpensive bean there is. Add the guat for a little bitterness in the back end, represented here. The milk was steamed way too hot so didn’t get to taste the lack of taste for a little while, but even after the cooldown I would have rather had coffee in my hotel room. Most of my reviews are on coffee. I also roast, so I know the challenges. The music in this coffee shop was quite loud. (Likely I’m too old.. yes) good playlist however- Patrons were yelling at each other as they sat at their tables. I saw someone’s order of avocado toast and it looked fantastic! But i didn’t ask for a bite so dunno the taste score. The lids did not fit the small cups. Addressed this with the staff. They agreed. They got new cups.. but not new lids. Apparently they don’t quite get along. So, my rating unfortunately reflects my coffee experience at this store. If you are going to be a craft roaster, please have some interesting profiles available. Thats Not Brazil (unless you’re near the Stuttgart airport in Germany. They have an Incredible brazil!). - If i want boring coffee and loud music, charbucks is across the street.
