2/10 (only because the chicken was good) I went here recently and honestly I’m never going back. The menu didn’t clearly show what comes inside the ramen, which is a big deal because what if someone has food allergies? When I asked the employee what was in it, she just kept telling me to look at the picture instead of actually answering my questions, which felt kind of rude. Also… what kind of ramen place doesn’t even have corn? That’s wild to me. The timing of the food made no sense either. The fried chicken was okay, but it didn’t even come out first like an appetizer should. I was already halfway through my ramen and then the appetizer finally comes out… oh ok…. On top of all that, the food ended up giving me diarrhea. Definitely not worth it. Never going back.
Zhongzhong Noodles is the place that got me into mapo tofu, so much so that I've tried it at other places only to realize that it's either Zhongzhong, homemade, or nothing. Zhongzhong does it best! I've also had their beef rice bowl and dumplings, which I would also recommend! I've gotten a few friends into the place, and these same menu options are typically their top picks as well! Definitely drop in if you're in the area or looking for an adventure!
This place has become a staple for me .. first time dinning in vs ordering out .. have to say imo it's better to dine in vs ordering out ( food taste better on the spot ) the warmth of the shredded Chicken noodles were great the noodles are semi firm .. broth delicious, the marinated chicken banger service was quick. thank you .. 🤤🤤 guys
I loved my tomato beef soup, not spicy. The beef was tender and the soup was not too salty. There was a good amount of bok choy, an egg, and fresh tomatoes. I will come back for these noodles; it's definitely one of the best I've tried in NYC. The soup feels like a REAL soup, not one of those fake Chinese noodles. My husband's soup was Szechuan beef noodles, it was very spicy and had a weird flavor, which is not for everyone. We didn't like that particular flavor. Peas in that soup were somewhat hard too. The portions were big. It was clean but quiet in the restaurant, some music wouldn't hurt. Not crowded.
Really cool find with great service! The place is pretty small, but we were there around 7pm and we were able to get a table. We got the Szechuan style braised beef noodle, tomato noodle soup, vegan beef dumpling, and wonton in chili sauce!! I really love spicy food and to me they weren’t that spicy, but my friend is a bit less tolerant and says it was… take it for what you will. Really good food, good service, and good price!
What an amazing experience! I'm from Florida visiting and this food was absolutely delicious. Small businesses here in NYC are the back bone of the city and culture. Service was on point and attentive, ambiance was very welcoming and professional. The Bronx clearly has a hidden gem! Also tons of friendly people coming in and out throughout my visit. Totally worth it, must try!!!
Excellent service! The gentlemen who greeted us and took our order was patient, attentive, quick and polite. They served fresh tasty warm and comfy food! I really enjoyed it. I would recommend adding more shredded chicken to the shredded chicken soup. I think it was minimal, and add more flavor to the broth and less sodium/ salt. (I was so thirsty after I had that meal). The marinated fried chicken was delicious! I love crunchy on the outside with tender and juicy meat inside, very well cooked! I will definitely return, although this was my second visit. This time I returned with my daughter and sister whom both appreciate Korean noodle soup. I'm very happy to have a great little "noodle joint" like this in the Bronx!!
