Ichiban Yakitori Sushi House

Love this place, went with a group of friends and overall i think everyone enjoyed their food. I got the fried gyoza and the yaki egg noodles and LOVED IT. and ngl the prices r very nice, one of the cheaper options in the area. would def recommend!

After a night at Symphony Hall, we wandered into Ichiban Boston and found a quiet symphony of flavors waiting for us. From delicately crafted sushi to comforting warm bowls of bibimbap and sukiyaki beef noodles, every bite felt intentional — simple, balanced, and beautifully done. A hidden gem that deserves an encore.

Would definitely come back again to try out their other foods, it was much more affordable compared to other restaurant spots. I ordered the beef Okdol Bibimbap which was really tasty. They served it through a hot stone pot that made the meal stay steaming hot the entire time I was eating it. My friend ordered the regular bibimbap and I ordered the lunch menu version of the bibimbap. The lunch menu version's portions will be a fraction smaller (not that noticeable imo), comes with miso soup that the regular doesn't, and is cheaper. If you're coming for lunch, I would highly recommend the lunch version if you're trying to save some money, because you get your bank for your buck. The service was very fast.

Food was good, but a little disappointing. Remembered it being better, felt like the flavors were lacking. Squid was very spicy and chewy, eggplant also spicy, sushi was good but nothing great. Bimbibap was ok, Seaweed salad I honestly wouldn’t get again. Best part of the meal was edamame, which came out steaming hot. Service was great

Fabulous quality and portions at an unbelievably reasonable price. Very chill easy breezy dining with lots of locals and students.

Sushi roll was so wide for some reason. Taste was on point, definitely worth the value. I would recommend the spider roll and the taki yaki, pretty yum yum. Though for some reason when i was trying to leave they wouldnt give us the check and then held my credit card for like 8 minutes. not sure what they were doing with that. but otherwise food high quality for a local tastey sushi place.

Overall! I have such a good experience. The grilled soba is pretty good here. Also salmon bomb is good 👍
