They specialize in beautifully crafted Korean rice cakes (tteok), which are ordered for all kinds of special occasions — from first birthdays (doljanchi) and weddings to anniversaries and traditional holidays. Their presentation is always elegant, and the taste used to be unmatched. I’ve been coming here for over ten years, and it’s always been a special place for my family. Even when there’s no celebration, my daughter and I like to stop by just to enjoy their delicious rice cakes. There’s something comforting and nostalgic about the flavors — soft, chewy, and just the right level of sweetness. However, since COVID, I’ve noticed a change in the texture. The rice cakes don’t seem as chewy or fresh as before, and it feels like they might be using more flour in their mix, possibly to cut costs. It’s a noticeable difference, especially to someone who’s been a loyal customer for so long. I truly hope they go back to their original recipe and continue the high quality that made them so loved in the first place. Their traditional desserts deserve that care and attention.

I was craving for bingsu (shaved ice) and dduk (rice cake). This place had both. What a perfect combination? Their bingsu was yummy. It was a traditional bingsu I remember from Korea. It was so good. If you are looking for sweet strawberry, chocolate, mango, etc. this isn’t the place. Their rice cake was really yummy too with lots of different flavors. Oh, ladies who worked here were so friendly and kind too. I am coming back!

I had ordered rice cake from here a few times up to this point. The last time I went the lady was talking on the phone to someone the entire time while taking my order. The other times I went she was indifferent towards customers and came off as quite rude. I went again today and found a hair in one of the rice cakes I got. I had to throw out the whole thing and felt disgusted afterwards. Never going back again and wouldn't recommend their products. Based on the other reviews for them it seems like I'm not the only one experiencing their lackluster customer service.

Best Bingsoo ever! Shaved ice was made of milk and they added the condensed milk with all other toppings. They have about 4 kinds of shaved ice/bingsoo, and the original bingsoo was really good. The Yedang also has a variety selections of rice cakes. The price is reasonable and worth paying the amount. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to my friends and family!

My friend and I stopped by and bought two different kinds of rice cake. They were both really hard and not chewy or soft. Items were pretty pricy in general, so do their tea drinks. The soybean powder rice cake tasted savory.. sesame oil taste was really strong.

I ordered Pumpkin Rice Cake for my mom’s 80th birthday. It was first time and I wasn’t sure if I made a good choice and everyone loved it!! Personally I think it’s much healthier compared to cake we usually buy, service was awesome too!!
