Orion Hot Pot

Had been wanting to go here due to being in the area which there are a lot of stores in this area. Went yesterday and placed a to-go order. While I was waiting for my order I purchased an alcoholic beverage. The young lady that greeted me made me feel very welcomed. The food was packaged with some very sturdy and fancy containers. I could have taken my beverage home because they seal it with a lid that has a tab on it like the beer and sodas are in grocery stores. I got home and unpacked everything. The topping were put on a topper so not to be in the broth. The music was a mixture at the bar area which was pretty cool. Anyway the foodie people should have long come here to promote this restaurant. I’ll definitely be back and with family.

Best HotPot in Arvada area. I choose the Golden Chicken Soup and its so tasty, i recommend to choose it! But they also offers several selection of other soup base. The dish are flavorful yet enjoyable and the non-meat selection was fresh and varied (variety of veggies, mushroom, tofu, fish, balls). The ambiance are warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for gatherings with friends or family. The staff are friendly and patient with newcomers, and do a great job of explaining the different broths and available meat selection.

The taro coconut jelly drink to start was amazing. Spicy broth was decent, not too hot. Tried all the meats except the dinner only ones and the lamb which they were out of, and they were all good, although the chicken was sliced so thin it would sometimes disintegrate when I would try to pick it up. I wish there were tongs for the raw meat - I ended up using my chopsticks, and then boiling the ends in the broth to disinfect them before eating with them. The house sauce didn't have much flavor, so we mixed our own. The selection of veggies was quite extensive, but I was disappointed there were no little dumplings available like I've found elsewhere. Interior decor is simple and clean. I appreciated that the ventilation was very good, so that it was cool inside and not hot and humid like at some other places, and all my clothes didn't smell like the broth afterward. Staff was nice and attentive, frequently refilling drinks and taking away empty dishes. All in all a very good experience. Hot Pot Spot in Thornton is still my favorite, but Orion would certainly be 2nd place.

We tried the spicy and pork broths. The flavor was good, but a bit more Szechuan pepper flavoring would have been more to our preference, but was good tasting overall. The selection of offerings for your hotpot was great and it was all fresh. However, they didn’t have water cress. There were free egg rolls and potstickers to grab too. You can also order a whole blue crab for your hotpot too. Regarding meats, the pork belly and fatty beef were the best. Overall, we’d certainly come back!

We came here for lunch and absolutely loved it! The hot pot is incredibly authentic with a wide variety of fresh ingredients to choose from. Our kids had a great time too! And the price? Truly unbeatable. Fresh beef, seafood and vegetables, wow. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

Very good deal, everything is fresh and delicious. My husband and I tried every kind of meat available, the selection of vegetables and sauces is very rich too. The seafood and lamb are a nice plus.

Good broth, I tried the spicy and my hubby had the bone broth. Great selection of veggies. Meats came out frozen, but was delicious nonetheless. The blue crab was good, but I needed more tools to help open it. 😅 Service was good, they got very busy very quickly but handled it well. Good was inexpensive, very reasonable. Adult drinks were more average/higher but with a good selection.
