🍜 From Hot Pot to Rice Noodle — A Warm Surprise on Main Street This place used to be California Hot Pot, but it’s now transformed into a cozy spot that serves Chinese rice noodles instead. It’s located on Main Street near 6th Street, and on the side of the building, you’ll spot the sign "Cakelly Plaza." Across the street, you’ll find the UPS Store and Cathay Bank, and right next door is the Social Security Administration office. There’s a small shared parking lot next to the restaurant, plus street parking if that fills up. 🍲 Small Space, Big Comfort The interior is pretty small — about eight tables, each seating two to five people — but it feels warm and inviting. Service was great and the food came fairly quick. I ordered the tomato soup base rice noodles with beef, and it was delicious! The soup was piping hot, rich in flavor, and absolutely perfect for cold weather. They offer multiple soup base options and even have single or duo combo meals. The quality of the rice noodles and sliced beef definitely stands out — better than most rice noodle spots I’ve tried. ⭐ Final Thoughts I’d honestly give this place a 4.5, but since my overall experience was great and there wasn’t a single bad thing about it, I’ll round it up to a 5-star rating. If you’re craving something warm, flavorful, and comforting — this spot is definitely worth checking out!

Needed something warm and soupy for the rainy day. Find this spot on a whim and I gotta say I'm so dang lucky I decided to eat here. I ordered the rattan noodles and they were deliciously spicy. I usually eat medium to low spice but this was perfect. I'm a new fan!

The food was fantastic! We got a combo of the Unagi rice bowl, the cucumber salad, and the iced lemon tea. The rice bowl was very flavorful, and the unagi tasted great. The cucumber said was also mixed very well and it tasted amazing! We also really enjoyed the iced lemon tea; it was the perfect amount of sweet and minty. Overall, We had a great experience as the staff were very kind!

A good place for rice noodles, and I really loved their broth! My go to is their sliced beef rice noodles, portions were good too. The restaurant is also very clean. Not to mention, when you order takeout, they pack everything so nicely! Service was fast too! Note: there is a small parking lot right next to the restaurant although all seem to be compact sized, street parking is plenty too if you have a larger car. And, they also do happy hour from 2-6pm for snacks and drinks.

Meow Rice Noodle offers a flavorful and satisfying meal, especially if you enjoy bold, well-balanced flavors. The Pickled Pepper Beef Shank Rice Noodles had a nice kick to them, with a broth that was both rich and spicy. The beef shank was tasty, though it could have been a bit more tender. The Potato Sliver Salad was a refreshing side, with a great mix of sour and tingly flavors, though the cilantro was a bit overpowering. The restaurant is conveniently located, but parking can be tricky since it’s in front of the Social Security building. Overall, a solid spot for a comforting bowl of noodles with vibrant flavors!

I stopped by to try them out, since I've always passed by here. I had the beef noodle soup, which came out quickly as I got there as they opened. The bowls are like giant copper ladles, which is neat, but I found myself accidentally touching the hot edges as I grabbed the noodles. The food itself tasted pretty good, the radish gave it an interesting sour flavor and the beef has nice flavor, tho I wish it was a little bit more tender. Overall, not bad, might come back again to try out one of their rice bowls

This rice noodle shop has a clean environment, and the food is served quickly. The rice noodles are tender and chewy, and the soup base is rich and has a certain depth of flavor. The side dishes are fresh and the portions are moderate. Overall, it offers good value for money and is suitable for lunch on weekdays or a casual meal with friends.
