Walmart Supercenter

I think it was a great Walmart location. The staff were quite knowledgeable; they knew the exact locations of most products in the store, which is super impressive. The store was clean and well stocked. Overall, I think it is a great place to visit.

01/20/26 Mel at the self-checkout registers is amazing, 5 stars for her! Other than that, this store has the rudest, most judgmental, lazy "managers" (and a few workers too). I can name the worst "managers" too: Jen, Jojo, Amber. We've had multiple terrible interactions but today was the worst! They pick and choose who they want to pretend to be "nice" to, the rest are treated like crap. And IF they're "nice" to you, just wait until you do/say something they don't like, then they'll show you their true colors. Today's issue: if you buy electronics here, try them out at home and they DON'T WORK, good luck returning or exchanging without a receipt no matter how low the price is! First they make you wait forever at customer service, probably hoping you'll just leave, then when they finally come out of their lazy cave they give you a dirty look and immediately jump down your throat saying they can't help you without a receipt. They are lying! I've had to return a non-working electronic device even though I didn't have my receipt, the associate helped me without a problem and that item was actually over $60! Today's item was only about $45 and they still refused AND were rude, smart-alecky, and completely unprofessional. Now I own a $45 item that was BROKEN when I bought it!

This location is very clean, I will give them that. It is also very much well stocked every time. The reason for my three stars, is more so the customer experience while checking out along with leaving, usually they don't have enough check stands. Open to where you can wait in line and have a cashier ring you up, so with that being said I have to use the self-checkout option. I don't mind one bit, but what bothers me is when I take notice to when I am being observed more than the other customers because of what I feel is based on my appearance. I admit, I do look a bit rough on the outside, but that has nothing to do with my integrity as a person and a honest human being. So it does bother me when I see a cashier or a person monitoring the self-checkout area specifically navigate in a way to closer see that I am scanning all of my items. Also, when leaving the store it would be wonderful not to be bothered by people outside asking for a donations or signatures. I just feel to contribute to a pleasant customer experience, Walmart should have a better policy for that kind of thing to protect its customers from that negative shopping experience, especially those with social anxiety who don't like to have interaction.

This place needs to get it together, I've found mold on multiple produce items, both pre-packaged and loose produce. The prices are way to high for the quality of the store. Half the time the self checkout doesn't even work properly and I have to fight it to take my money, the system is glitchy, the workers are underpaid, a large portion of them don't get full time to prevent paying out benefits. It's a pretty disgusting corporation, I only go because of the variety of items. Oh and they use customer-based pricing.

Walmart in Yuba City is amazing, Manager Jenn and her management crew really know how to help out customers. Very clean and organized store, tons of items for all your needs. Huge parking lot. Great prices, lines move fast, actually really, no lines, great displays.

I went into the automotive center for an oil change and brought my own oil and filter. I was told by staff that they could not perform the service because the oil weight I brought did not match what their charts listed for my vehicle. This was frustrating, especially since my oil had previously been changed with the same weight by a Mazda dealership. Ultimately, I was turned away, which made the visit a pretty big waste of time. That said, I do want to note that the staff did their best to help—they contacted a manager and tried to get the correct information. Unfortunately, they did not have the literature that covered my specific vehicle variant. My biggest concern was that they wanted to use an oil weight that was not appropriate for my vehicle. I ended up going to another service station where the oil change was completed without issue. Overall, the experience was disappointing, but the staff themselves were professional and made an effort to assist.

It can be really frustrating that so many items are locked up, and sometimes I’ve had to wait around 8 minutes without any help. I understand why things are locked, but if that’s the case, there should be better systems in place so customers aren’t stuck waiting. You can tell the store is often understaffed, which isn’t the workers’ fault—they were kind and helpful when I did get assistance. Management just really needs to improve on how this issue is handled.
