This place is absolutely the best record store in Hampton Roads and has run by the greatest of people. If you go there to buy a record and you need help finding the record identifying the right record or about anything they’re happy to help without making you feel like an idiot. i.e. like some of the other stores we all know about. They have a great selection of used records. Oh, and they also sell books, CDs, and some other stuff . This place is great you should go.

I love, AFK! Better recognize They are super chill andthey have a dog,tell me thats not a bonus!! Huge selection of records sure to please the crowd. They host record release parties usually @ midnight💪🏼go get your favorite record and crank it up🔉🔉🎶🎶

This was my go to record store. The young female employee, Emily always is brusque. I would breathe a sigh of relief if the nicer staff members were at the counter. She acts this way with the owner right there. I go there for albums so I will just go to the other record stores.

Best hidden ish gem!! This place has so many amazing records, books, record players, old school toys for the kiddos & adults with nostalgia! Posters! The best hilarious socks & fun gifts. Even awesome cook books! We picked up one of a kind journals & other fun stuff for Christmas! Definitely will go here any chance we get to add to our collection. Far more than a record/book store.

This is not "just" a Books & Records store. It is a local community institution. It is a place for the young and old alike to gather, chat, engage with the friendly managers & staff members, and feel a part of something bigger -- shop local, buy local. There is something for everyone here! Vinyl is a mainstay. Previously owned books are in abundant supply -- if you like memoirs, biographies, mysteries, American history, politics, engrossing fiction, Hollywood tell-alls, then you'll be happy here! The graphic novels and comics section is wonderful. The bestsellers are located upfront. And look for discounts, fun promotional events, new release celebrations, social hours -- this place is fun. I always leave happier than when I arrived. And the store mascot, Jazz, is often happy to receive a friendly visitor (as long as it isn't nap time)!

I live in Upstate New York but have a daughter who lives in the area. I stumbled upon this place on a vacation. As previously mentioned, once you walk in the door you are greeted by the staff. I have purchased about a dozen vinyl albums during two different times and must say that the quality of the vinyl is way more than I expected. I have been more than pleased with everything I have purchased without exception. I can say that I will return in future for more

The store is very nice and staff are very helpful, but I did buy a puzzle here and the box is brand new but I didn’t get all my pieces?? And that really frustrates me especially for 20 dollars
