Via Luino

This bookstore is amazing! There’s a great, curated selection of feminist, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC books for all ages, and the shop is a warm, welcoming, and inclusive space. As a queer woman, I felt so welcomed there! In addition to the fantastic selection of books and the excellent vibes, there are community events, resources and information for anyone interested or in need, and dog treats for any four-legged friends who stop by. Easily accessible from the green line (about a 10 minute walk), this intersectional, feminist, inclusive, and queer-owned shop should absolutely be on everyone’s list of bookstores to support!

Me and my daughter went to the amazing bookstore today. This store and owner is a wonderful person, who made my daughter feel seen and safe. Plus the owner dog is super cute. This is a wonderful and safe space. Great quality books and kid friendly.

One of my favorite indie bookstores 💜 I love how there’s a variety of author visits, impromptu events to bring in the community, and a corgi who’s always personable. They’ve also got a fabulous selection of books that are easy to browse!

One of my favorite book stores near the Boston area! Their new location in Somerville is right off the Green line and a quick 4 min walk. Very inclusive, cozy and welcoming environment. The owner Christina and their staff does a great job at giving recommendations to people of all ages. I've been a loyal customer since 2020, and I've never been disappointed with the book selections available. If I can't find what I'm looking for, I can always ask to place an order through the store!

Highly recommend All She Wrote Books! Owner, Christina is a lovely human. I discovered the store on Instagram through a post promoting the Wedding Marathon event. My partner and I were honored to get married in the bright, beautiful, welcoming space. It is really a special place for community to gather and connect. We can’t wait to come back and explore the thoughtfully curated book selection! Shop local and support this wonderful gem in Somerville.

A book store with a mission to curate and lift up diverse voices. Regardless whether or not you identify as queer and/or feminist, I highly recommend this book shop. The owner Christina was very friendly and made great recommendations. They also have book club events every month featuring feminist/queer authors and sometimes authors visit. Selection was highly curated and this month had a lot of independently published unique poetry books for poetry month. They even have a small corner of dog accessories in addition to a kids corner. Definitely worth a stop!

This is like my favorite book store in the Boston area. The vibes are great and the owner and the staff are always so welcoming. They're great at recommending books too if you don't know what you're looking for yet. They have a solid collection of queer and intersectional feminist books. The space is kind of small so the selection is a bit limited but they make great use of the space, and manage a good variety for the space they have. They also have a children's section which is great if you're looking for diverse books for kiddos. They have really great stickers to boot. They hold a bunch of different events from author talks to children's book readings to their summer pride book fair which is always a hit! Depending on the day, you might see Ruby around who is the bookstore corgi. She is nice to humans but a little territorial to other dogs and animals 😅 she's a herding/working dog so that makes sense she's fighting instinct there. Speaking of Ruby, the bookstore also has a membership that's called "A Friend of Ruby" (play on "friend of Dorothy"). I find it's very much worth the price if you like the store and see yourself coming back regularly Anyway, 100% worth a visit!
