Dragon's Den Gaming

I went to this store for a Magic: The Gathering tournament. I’m not from the area. The owner and staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and attentive to their guests. The environment is very welcoming. The owner, Thomas, is an especially phenomenal human being. Will 100% be back to Sioux Falls specifically for this store!

I have visited this location several times over the past 2 years, enough times to feel comfortable leaving an honest review. I really appreciate local game stores, especially those with female-presenting/nonbinary employees as the majority. Each time I've been in, though, staff have been short and borderline rude to myself and other customers, and products can be incredibly overpriced. From the standpoint of a business owner, I understand marking up products to keep doors open, but as a consumer, when it is wildly above market prices I cannot justify paying that- even at a store I want to support.

The store has so much product and a very diverse staff which is amazing! But everytime I’ve been in to look around one staff member has continually been rude to me. While the others have been much more polite and welcoming. Not only that but the prices for a lot of their product is up-charged like crazy compared to the online market. I want to support local businesses so bad. But Dragons Den has been a difficult one to support because of the staff and the prices. I want to keep supporting them but the store itself is making it difficult for me to do that.

Not kid friendly. Was there on Saturday before noon and there were multiple tables of adults, swearing loudly and having a great time. Workers were included in that group. Felt like a major inconvenience to the people behind the counter. Prices are not marked on anything, one worker told me everything in the box was $.10, another told me everything in the box was a quarter and finally when I was checking out a chunk of our items were actually $.50. I was intending to buy a dozen packs of Pokémon cards so each of us could open three, but was really let down by the environment and the dishonest pricing. It sucks trying to get kids into the Pokemon hobby nowadays. Was just looking for a place to spend our money and have fun.

Im from out of town and had a good time talking to a few of the staff about all things magic. Super friendly, big space for lots of people, good amount of singles and packs. Next time im in town I will definitely stop in and bring a deck to try out.

Pretty good place. They moved locations recently and the new place still looks like it is under construction. Bought a 7 dice set for $10. Not bad.
