Nook & Cranny Books

A good, no perfect addition to the University Way. Books are shelved not according to the authors but very interesting topics (see the photos). A comfortable space. Notmonly books but select merchandise, notebooks, bags, pencil cases. Nook& Cranny is a strong recommend!

Great hidden gem bookstore right next to Cowen Park. The books in the store are organized by vibes rather than genres! It’s so cute and has a huge selection of books for all ages, gifts, stickers, cards, umbrellas, games, puzzles, etc. Owner is so sweet and has great recommendations. Comfy chairs + whole table for reading/chatting. Would recommend for anyone who loves bookstores, gift shops, or just needs to kill some time around U-District/Roosevelt!!

Best bookstore to quickly find your next favorite read or a perfect gift! The shelf recommendations are great but, the owner is also incredibly knowledgeable! This is a must visit store. I'll be buying all my Christmas gifts from here!

Nook and Cranny Books is delightful. The sign out front said "Hey you're about to walk by a bookstore. Are you okay?" So I had to stop! The bookseller was knowledgeable and picked 3 great recommendations for me (I took home 2, because budgeting is good adult ingredients, but it was hard.) I will definitely go back. The bookshelves are laid out well and make shopping here a positive experience. PS. Parking to tough. I grabbed a 30min load and unload parallel street spot for $1.75.

This is a cozy little bookstore with an eclectic selection of books organized by theme that feel personally curated for the Seattle book lovers scene. The owner is an absolute gem with a warm and welcoming vibe that exudes throughout the shop. I’m looking forward to all the great things to come from Nook & Cranny!

Great shopping experience with nicely curated selection. I also went here for a book signing event as a one off with some friends and it was a great time. A nice intimate bookstore experience in Capitol Hill that I'll definitely be back for.

Awesome bookstore! Mostly fiction, great organization. Books are sorted by categories that make sense to me and make it easy to find a new book I wouldn't have found in a regular bookstore. I've gotten multiple books here that I've really enjoyed. The shop owner is very friendly as well and makes good recommendations. Fun tchotchkes here as well like duck umbrellas, funny fridge magnets, etc. Awesome local business!
