Here you will find many new and interesting books to read & a place to hang to do your work. I had great customer service to find the books that I needed for my kids. Coffee shop offered a delicious flavorful decaf coffee to sip while I did my work. Go today and support local!

Gorgeous bookstore. Stopped by Elliot Bay on a recent trip to Seattle and it was an absolutely lovely place. Very wide selection across genres (huge mystery section!!) and lots of staff recommendation notes everywhere. It was very busy, but not overwhelming. Just a lot of book lovers. Also random, but they had a massive assortment of cute greeting cards - wanted to buy them all. Highly recommend for all readers and non-readers (there’s a cute café in the back).

I recently just found this book shop, and it has been my go-to since! I love the atmosphere of the shop, it definitely can get overwhelming when looking at all the books. I suggest that you focus on one section of the store and work in increments, there’s also a second floor! They offer you a stamp card; every $10 spend before tax you get a stamp and after 10 stamps, I believe, you get money off of your next purchase. I think that is such a good concept and incentive to reading!! There is a coffee shop connected to the book store, I have never tried it but it looks promising, I’ll have to try it next time I go.

Wow talk about a next level book store! Coffee shop inside. Games, puzzles, coloring books. Had the two books we were looking for! Had an amazing cook book section, business section and expecting parent section. That's just what I had time to browse.

My son and I went there as part of his birthday celebration... we both love books. We took the light rail and enjoyed every minute of it.

What a wonderful place! Seriously amazing. The vibe, the selection, the building, the employees, the cafe. All of it. All top notch, all wonderful (coffee and cookie were amazing). I was visiting from Portland so it's tough to impress me with a bookstore but Elliot Bay managed to pull it off. Already dreaming of my next visit to Seattle and Elliot Bay Book Company! 📚
