Whitney Book Corner

This is our new favorite book store. It’s a cozy environment, organized, very reasonable prices, friendly staff, and a great selection of books and some movies.

An incredible, constantly changing selection of books and yes, a fundraiser for the library, too. The staff (volunteers?) are happy to help!

The ladies were so friendly, knowledgeable and kind. We will be returning in the future for some more awesome reading. The store is clean and neat! I highly recommend this for obtaining books for you and your kids!

The Whitney Book Corner offers a wide selection of books to choose from! While the store sells second hand books, you really can’t beat there prices. $4 for a hardcover book, $3 for a paper cover, and $2 for a small paper cover. It truly does leave you getting 3-4 or more books every time you go there. The store is very small, but has a huge variety of books to select from. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. The staff are always so nice and welcoming, ready with book recommendations when needed! I also like that they do a "blind date with a book", where they cover up a book that’s on sale for $4-$5, and write on the front things that describe the book. That way you have no idea what book it could be, but you know it’s a crime book, or a mystery, or a romance book, ect. It’s a fun idea that I don’t see many places do! While I’m not a big reader, my girlfriend is and she LOVES this store. Every time she visits NY it is a must stop for her to load up on new books! If you’re looking for books without breaking the bank, Whitney is the store to go to. I can not recommend this place enough! Why are you still reading this review! Get over there and enjoy!

A quaint and lively bookshop with employees that know what they are talking about and truly want to help you. I highly recommend this book shop!

A wonderful used book store that supports the friends of the schenectady co public library! Its also open during the hours of the schenectady greenmarket. Also, if you join the friends of the SCPL you will receive discounts at this store!
