SMC Bookstore

Although the place is being remodeled/expanded currently, it was very easy to find what I needed, and the help there as well was very diligent. I was able to pick up my online order the next day even though it stated online that it could take up to 72 hrs for it to be ready. That was really beneficial for me, as I needed the materials that had ordered the night before, for that of class.y I picked them up for the first day

I’m really disappointed with how I was treated today by the front staff at the SMC bookstore. I came in to purchase a cap and gown and received no help from the three staff members present, one man, possibly Indian and two women who were all unprofessional. Instead of assisting, they were talking and laughing among themselves. When I approached the man to ask a question, I felt very uncomfortable. As I was speaking to him, the two women continued to giggle, which made the interaction feel awkward and dismissive. It felt like I was being judged just for asking for help. I also said "thank you" to the guy both in person and over the phone, and both times he ignored me. On the call, he even hung up right after I thanked him. That level of disregard is really disheartening and disrespectful especially during an already stressful time. I want to thank Eric, however, for being kind and respectful. He helped make the experience a little better. he congratulated me and was really nice to both me and my dad. I only wish I had spoken to him first when I walked in. I feel like if eric hadn’t talked to me I would’ve probably left feeling even more upset.

The staff at the student store consistently come off as rude. At first, I assumed it might’ve just been a bad day, but after multiple visits, it's clear this is their usual demeanor. SMC is a great school overall, but the experience at the student store really takes away from that.

This is the worst book store. Expensive books in basic subjects and this store is always out of stock and it’s always the bare minimum. I don’t want students to get use to this way of life. We deserve a better clothing selection for hoodies like lavender and pink in previous years. Also red hats in the entry way. Male staff is helpful. Female cashier makes me wait and I don’t like her.

The SMC Bookstore is a great resource for students and faculty alike. It offers a wide selection of textbooks, school supplies, and college merchandise. The staff are friendly and always ready to help you find what you need. Prices are reasonable, and the convenience of having everything you need for your courses in one place is unbeatable.

The staff is always in a great mood and they are very helpful and informative and they will help you get what you need. The store is also very nice with a lot of things that you need while living on a budget while trying to make ends meet
