Fabulosa Books

Fabulosa Books is such a gem. The selection is fantastic, and the staff, especially the owner, are incredibly kind and helpful. When I asked about a couple of books, he checked the computer, and even though they didn’t appear, he still went to the shelf to look just in case. The first time I visited, he even gifted me some magnets, and I brought him a coffee in return, which made him so happy. This store has such a welcoming vibe, and it’s definitely a must when in the Castro.

Fabulosa is a wonderful local book store that features an excellent and diverse selection, particularly of queer topics and authors. I came into the store looking for a specific book and the management was very friendly and helpful and immediately helped me find what I was looking for. The book was also priced well, which isn’t always the case with these smaller book stores. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a diverse book selection and welcoming atmosphere!

Great little book shop in downtown San Francisco that focuses on the LGBTQ community. It's a must stop if you are in this area of town.

A great little bookstore with personality. In a time when it's hard for bookstores to stay alive, it is so nice to have this here on the Castro Street strip where it's mostly just bars. Keeping gay culture alive in other ways than just drinking. I ordered a textbook here and it came pretty quickly. I also like to stop at the bargain bin in the front every now and then and they have some good stuff.
