Rita's Book Exchange

Such a charming store! Rita and her employee were both so kind and nice to talk to. She very clearly cares for her customers. I highly recommend visiting; odds are you'll find a book that you didn't even know you were looking for.

I enjoy shopping at Rita's for books that I enjoy reading, as she has a very large variety of different titles and categories, the owner is always friendly and helpful. My only critique would be how small the building she's in. as it feels Abit cramped. Otherwise I'm thankful that Angelo has a very nice book store for people to go and purchase books at a better price rate than at a new book type store.

This book store is amazing! It offers tons of books in all different genres, and the owner is so kind and knowledgeable about her products and their placements. The only warning I have is its cash only, and the store itself is kinda small, so the rows are a bit tight.

I normally live in big cities, where bookshop possibilities are endless, but I like to find quaint little shops anywhere I go. I was almost disappointed in San Angelo when I googled bookstores and the selection seemed limited. Amongst them was Rita’s, which seemed bigger than the other shops in town (mainly small, and Texas history oriented), but there were no photos online to get an idea of what Rita’s was like inside. I called Rita to ask what genres she carried. She said she had all sorts, so I decided to give it a go. Rita and her husband are the sweetest people, given the hour spent browsing through the mystified book shop. I 100 percent recommend this place. It’s a little hidden gem for anyone who loves to get lost in book mazes. It’s a great place to stretch your legs and relax your mind if you’re on a road trip, too. She takes CASH ONLY. There’s an ATM nearby if you forget. In the end, San Angelo did not disappoint.

Every time we come to San Angelo TX we visit Rita’s book store. The proprietor is charming, the prices are fair and the selection is extensive. Stop by the next time you need a good book to read.

Excellent book store. Lots of used books in like new condition. The staff could immediately find books you were looking for. Good credit for your extra books and the credit makes books that you buy HALF price. Cash 💸 only.
