Great eclectic bookshop that’s organized well. Very nice staff, easy going and cozy place. Great selection and there are cats!! They mind their own business but will let you pet them. Just a cool place to go☺️

My favorite book store in the whole city!! It’s in a great location, right behind the Free Library, across the street from the Barnes Foundation, less than 10 minute walk to City Hall, right around the corner from Sabrina’s Cafe. This is a great spot to add to your date itinerary if you’re going to be in the neighborhood. Super affordable prices, expansive collection, many rare finds(!!!) and the staff are always so friendly and kind and willing to answer any questions possible. it’s such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.💛

Updated review: I still really like this book store, but it's worth mentioning that it's quite difficult to get classics here. I've searched multiple times for Dumas and Wilde and could never find them. At other stores I could easily find them, including their most popular works. Anyway, still a nice shop. 🙂 They also have a shelf for plays which I haven't seen at other shops. Old review: (5 stars) Great book store! They aren't overpriced which I love. I had the impression it might be more challenging to get really popular books here, simply due to the volume of traffic they get - but perhaps this is the case for most used bookstores. They have a wide selection of everything though and even sell DVDs.

What a great bookstore - it's not the cutest shop you've ever been in but the staff is friendly and it's the sort of bookshop where you hunt for hidden treasure, if that makes any sense. It's a real rummage-y sort of shop. And the breadth of topics is broad for such a small shop, including several non-English options near the front of the largest room.

I love a little used bookstore nearby. They have a wide selection of fairly priced books, and finding the best ones is part of the fun. The best part is the two friendly cats that roam the store, adding a cozy vibe. The place is a bit run-down with dusty shelves and floors, but the books and the cats make it worth it!

Bigger bookstore than it looks from the outside. Prices are great! Have many rare books.

I can't believe I lived in Philly for 5+ years during college I never walked into this store. I must've ran/walked by thirty times. It's awesome!!! AND, they have CATS!!! Accessibility: curb-cuts and ramps, decent amount of space in the building to maneuver a stroller or wheelchair Parking: street parking. Nothing accessible super close by Seating: none Staff: kind, helpful, available Restrooms: 99% sure there are none Atmosphere: old books Animals: cats inside! But probably do not being your pet, not sure but service animals are probably allowed Kid Friendly: sure
