My favorite spot. Stop have a coffee Grab a book or two. They carry Vinyls & some Dvds. The children section is magnificent.

Barnes & Noble at Pembroke Gardens has improved in store organization and shelf categories, but the staff service leaves much to be desired. I waited nearly 30 minutes at the cashier while one customer purchased about 50 books, no extra registers opened, no solution offered. Be prepared to waste time just to pay. With so many other bookstores in the area, it’s worth going somewhere that values customers’ time and keeps checkout under 5 minutes.

They are closing this location soon (1/18 or 1/19, 2026) but there are still many books, records, gifts, etc at least 50% off. Lines have slowed down so swing by to grab that book that’s been on your list for too long.

This Barnes & Noble is closed! We made a 45 minute on this cold day to find the doors locked and the signage gone. They need to update this location.

I was one of the last customers of this Barnes & Noble which has been around for years. The staff treated me well, but it did feel like a business that was going out of business. They had no change for my $20, everything was 50% off and certain paperbacks were going for $1. The store did the best they could, but there aren't as many readers as there once were and that footprint cost an arm and a leg in rent. One day, people will talk about Barnes & Noble like they do about Blockbuster. Change in technology and consumer preferences, intense competition from online media. I will miss the store.

Book stores are the best and they are few and far in between. Besides books they have vinyl records, basic record players, games, toys, movies, tv series, stationery , trading cards, plushies, and of course books books and more books. Manga galore.

Sam (the older lady in glasses) and Gabi at the cafe are truly the best, I watched being super kind and helpful to every single person in an extremely long line, they even gave me water for my puppy. People like them make your experience in an already amazing place better, specially in a chaotic day like today! Thank you guys!
