Ye Old Bookworm

I adore this little shop. As soon as you open the doors and step into it, it is like taking in a deep breath from the past. It reminds me of all the creature comforts that I felt every time I went to the library in my elementary school or every weekend that I went to the public library with my dad growing up. The cats and the decor ice the cake. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and so super sweet. I’ve been more than once and will continue to go. I feel sorry for anyone who doesn’t have a chance to check it out while in Odessa, Texas. We were getting the tour from the orange cat and into my son‘s lap he went, while we sat. And there he spent the next 30 minutes just hanging out with my son as I pilfered through the books 🤗

This store is wonderful, and their cat Timothy is magnificent. We had a great time here. The prices are low, and everyone can find something for their soul.

I came for the cat, I stayed for the books. It's your typical local used bookstore, full of 50yr old paperbacks that aren't organized perfectly; I kept finding historical fiction in the history section when they're supposed to be separate, which gave me a good laugh. The more recent books are in the back room. It was nice to browse and take a few minutes to relax. Not a bad bookstore, just don't expect it to be Half Price Books or you'll be disappointed.

Books are rare in these days so the care of older books and the amount of references and resources within this store is amazing I have been going whenever I get a chance and enjoy every moment it is a must to visit when in downtown odessa

Absolutely the best used book store ever. Had everything I wanted. Friendly and helpful. Super cool cat
