Customer Reviews
Books-A-Million has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 based on over 704 reviews on Google
I stopped by this store today while at the mall, and I was impressed! The store was clean, and all the employees were incredibly helpful. The book selection was fantastic, and I particularly appreciated the banned book table and the Black History table. It was clear that someone thoughtfully curated these displays, choosing impactful titles rather than just any books related to the topics. As a passionate advocate for our culture and history, I truly appreciated this effort. Thank you all for a wonderful experience!
This review isn’t aimed at the store itself or the employees—who, by the way, are doing their best—but at Books-A-Million as a company. You mean to tell me you're pulling in nearly half a billion dollars in revenue ($474.1 million, to be exact), and you're still paying most of your workers under $10 an hour? Are you serious?? In this economy? That’s not just out of touch, it’s downright insulting. No one can survive, let alone live, on that. It’s pure corporate greed—hoard the profits at the top and throw scraps to the people who actually run your stores. If you can afford to sell $30 coffee table books and overpriced journals, you can afford to pay your workers a living wage. Shame on you, honestly. It's not just bad business—it's heartless.
They did not have the book we were looking for, but were so helpful in ordering it for us and getting it shipped. The staff was very pleasant and professional. We shopped for a whike after that for gifts for a friend and found several perfect choices.
Friendly staff, they clearly understand the assignment. Allow the customer to indulge themselves in the endless world that welcomes literally everyone. Should you be the type of customer who only enters a book store once or twice a year trying to find that gift that you hope and pray will make someone else think you care, or a closet book work who has read every book you can imagine. Very clean, plus I'm a sucker for I all the nic-nacs they put out They pull me in everytime.
Favorite spot to escape. So much to read and look at. Only thing missing is a mini-coffee bar. Overall, if you are looking for THAT book, make a stop here. Select seats around the area to sit back and read also. If you go here often, get the annual membership and get big discounts that eventually pays for itself.
I went into BAM today for the first time, with my bestie who has been a bunch! I was helped by Tzipporah and Jasmine! BOTH employees were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind!! I ended up with a membership and 5 new books, to call my own!! I will continue to shop at BAM and I’m so happy with my purchases!! I also LOVE and am super grateful for the way they label their shelves, categorize their books and display their accessories!! Forever a BAM custo 🥰📚
Fantastic selection. Great atmosphere. The staff was super nice. It was pricier than I expected. It is a cute little store.
