I meant to review this place when I first went when I was visiting Missoula a month ago but decided to review it after I finished a book I bought there and am starting the other I’m reading. I was honestly surprised what a great selection of books they had. I immediately found one I didn’t think I would be able to find in a brick & mortar bookstore then the man who worked there helped me find another one. I was also surprised at how little the total came out to since I’m used to new books being much more expensive. I’m reading controversial but influential political books and even had a great chat with the man working there. Which as an avid reader is always my favorite part about bookstores chatting with the staff/owners who share my love of books!

I am an avid book lover and decided to Google "best bookstores in Montana". This little shop was the number one hit. I just happened to be passing through Missoula and if course I had to stop. The atmosphere of the store was so cozy and cute, yet a little cluttered, just how you would imagine a bookstore. They had sections for all the big genres and had quite a few of the popular books of today. Each section was fairly small, as this is a locally owned bookstore, but there was something for everyone in my family. We enjoyed our stop here and I look forward to going back one day!

This store is such a beautiful place for book lovers. It is calm and serene, just the squeaks of the floor as you explore. Has everything including graphic novels, an extensive kids section and books about current events. It is a must visit even if you go on your own.! As a certified book and store lover I give it three thumbs up!

It’s rare for a book store to standout as being passionate about reading - Shakespeare & Co does. I am a bit ashamed that I have lived here for as long as I have without stepping foot in here.

We’re so blessed to have a great local bookstore like Shakespeare & Co in Missoula. They have a wonderful and diverse selection. And if you can’t find what you’re looking for, they’ll happily order it for you (often getting it in for pickup in 1-2 days). Way better than ordering from Amazon.

Always a pleasant experience. The owner is fantastic, let's help build a community against the quick convenience of the online giant and instead opt to take down the monopoly by supporting local bookstores. This one does a great job of ordering books for you -- just send an email and pick them up later if you can't find them in store.
