Book Resort

I have gone here 3 times during posted hours making the trip to Lancaster, but they have not been open on any of those occasions. I would give a good review surely if I was ever able to see the place inside.

I think some of the books were a little bit priced too high. When they price them individually. There were some I did not get because of that reason. I have been to a lot of other library book sales, and this place is the only place that prices that way. I did not see to many books I was looking for. It seemed like a lot of these books were from the last sale they had. So I might be back, I am not sure. But the people were very friendly and polite. "Thank You". Have a Blessed and Beautiful Day.

I understand that this location is operated by volunteers, but they're needs to be a greater level of consistency. When it's very cold, I understand it may stay closed. There needs to be a way for people to know... Today I called at 11:30A to see if they were open. I stopped by at 1:05 to pick up a book. Closed. Posted is open at least until 2 PM. I've been told often longer hours on Saturday. This needs to be run like a business. Did you leave early because of the cold? I posted 2 starts because my wife likes the store.

The Marshall Street book store supports the Lancaster Public Library. All of the books are donated. All of the staff are volunteers. They are very knowledgeable about the various categories offered. The store is open 10-2 six days a week. Closed Sundays and national holidays. Donations are accepted Monday and Wednesday from 10-12 and the first Saturday of each month from 10-1.

This place is just fine. Unfortunately that's all I can say for now. I don't want to throw the baby out with the bathwater so I'll take this moment to commend the service there, which was very pleasnant. As far as the store itself is concermed though, the organization was sufficient but the amount of books and variety of genres was to be desired. The only reason I give 4 stars is because as far as bookstores are concerned this one is certainly meant more for the casual reader of mystery novels and westerns than for someone interested in STEM books or large collectioms of classic literature.

If you love books you need to visit this book store. Sales benefit the local.library and it's my go-to place for books because of the variety, quality, and friendliness of everyone there.

The book sale is one of the best of its kind. Lots and lots of books, music and movies at very low prices. Highly recommend visiting during their sales.
