Barnes & Noble

Barnes & Noble is back in Lakeland, which is fantastic news for all my avid readers out there! This shiny new store is very well stocked and is a good sized space as well. They have almost every variety of book you could want- fiction, romance, thriller, fantasy, manga, religious, sports, and even a cooking section. There’s also a whole kids section towards the back that’s really cute, along with quite a few shelves of various kinds of toys. You can get lego sets here, or puzzles or a new journal or calendar, cards or other knock knack items. My favorite is probably the entire shelf of Harry Potter goodies. One thing I found odd about this B&N is the way the books are organized. They are sectioned based on genre, but outside of that it didn’t seem to have much order. Many bookstores will alphabetize based on author names, or at least group together books based on the author, and neither of those themes were consistent here. It made looking for certain books I wanted to find difficult and confusing and honestly less enjoyable. Usually I love a good book store but wasn’t a fan of that lack of feature.

Nice and Clean Store. Customer service is lacking. Request cardboard box for defective returns even Barnes and Noble online saying just bring it to the Store. The Store Employees are so long friendly as long you buying something as soon you returning something ( this is where you need Customer service) the Store Employees turn into Lecturer Mode and try everything to let you keep the return.

Love the new book smell. Well lit and cozy inside. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Awesome to have a Barnes and Noble in Lakeland. Saves us a trip to Wesley Chapel or Brandon. They have a nice selection of books. The layout is very inviting and you can get lost (in a good way) wandering from section to section. Some areas feel a little small, but we will take what we can get. We will definitely be stopping by a lot ❤️

Its nice to have a Barnes and Nobles in town. Customer service was not great. I had to ask about the membership and the rep automatically was like do you want the free one. I was like you didnt even ask which one I wanted. You just assumed. I had asked about a book that was not in stock and i was directed to just go to the website and order it and have it shipped to the store. I remember i use to be able to have them order it for me, pay for it and have it shipped to my address.

The store looks great and I love how many options there are to choose from. I hope that the store will eventually expand its movie selection and get some more Criterion discs in stock. There isn't anywhere else in the city that sells them and it would be a great opportunity instead of driving people to the Orlando/Tampa locations!

Beautiful new location in Lakeland. Clean and extremely organized so easy to walk in and find what you need. Nice place for kids to explore books and have fun. The staff is extremely polite and helpful
