Such a great independent bookstore! I always leave with new treasures for my collection, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier.

Really fantastic local independent bookstore with a huge selection of books (the storefront is deceptively small compared to how many books are packed into the space), including a significant section of kids books. Great for books in general, but especially for local authors/books about the Boston area (which I’ve purchased twice already as someone new to the area). I do wish there was a bit of seating available but I know that would come at the sacrifice of some book space. There is a bathroom, which is great if you tend to browse books as long as I do😅

I went in for some holiday gifts today and was greeted upon entering by both an employee and the cutest little dog. After browsing for some time and becoming a little overwhelmed by the enormous selection, I was offered help by an employee. I gave a brief description of the type of person I was shopping for and immediately, they gave me some amazing recommendations and I was done shopping shortly after. I’m normally the type of shopper who declines staff help, but this place has such a wide selection it was hard to find what I was looking for on my own. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what they have in store.

Best bookstore! Such an amazing selection of books, gifts, puzzles, and all kinds of wonderful things. I’ve discovered so many great books there. The kids book nook is really sweet. Huge selection of kids books and graphic novels! My kids love it. Highly recommend!

Such an inviting store, well laid out even on my first time visiting, I could feel like I understood the organization. A fantastic selection of non-fiction, both local and global, that should appeal to readers of all ages. The children's section seemed well stocked and fun, for those with young people. I was really not planning on purchasing anything, as my bags were more than full, but I walked away with a book from their sale rack. I also was going to buy one sticker, and after two minutes of indecision, I purchased 2. I also want to highlight the staff there, who all made me feel welcome and were so kind as to let me store my backpack at the counter. The energy they had when speaking about upcoming events and the bookstore itself speaks volumes to their opinion on the place. If you find yourself in Jamaica Plains, stop by and buy a couple books!

Smaller bookstore in Jamaica Plain. I was surprised at how many they are able to store in this smaller space but they do. So you will most likely find what you are looking for. You won’t find comfy chairs and such so this isn’t a bookstore where you sip a tea while looking at books. Also when I asked for a book one of the workers said she didn’t think they had it but I did end up finding it on the shelf. It’s an independent woman-owned bookstore in a fun neighborhood to explore.

This is such a cute bookshop! I can easily step in here and disappear for an hour. The staff always have good book recommendations and I love that in addition to books, they also have a lot of knick-knacks like cards, stationary, puzzles, etc. great place to pick up your next read or get a gift for a loved one.
