CHAMBLIN'S UPTOWN

If you love books, you have to visit Chamblin's Bookmine-the largest bookstore in Florida. From the moment I walked in, I was completely enamored by the collection. The selection is incredible — every aisle feels like a new adventure. I honestly wanted to buy every single book in sight, but somehow narrowed it down to seven (which still feels like a win!). Huge shoutout to Diego and Johnny for helping me track down the books I was looking for. They were knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely kind — the kind of staff that makes the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is cozy and nostalgic, perfect for true book lovers. My only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer to relax and read at their little café — it looked like the perfect spot to get lost in a good book. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly, highly recommend! 📚✨

I was looking for a book as a gift walked in and saw the shelf after shelf of books. Was a little concerned that it was going to be hard to find. Actually felt drawn to a shelf and there it was, Journey to Ixtlan by Carlos Castaneda. Cashier was nice. Purchased it. I was hungry so I checked out the cafe. I had a tasty jerk tempeh wrap and a coffee for lunch and was set. Would definitely recommend the place!

Food is very pricey because they're the only local coffee shop downtown and it's attached to a bookstore

We are still talking about our visit to Chamblins. We started our trip with coffee from the Cafe, and then were directed to where we could find Travis McGee and Detretive Morse books. My husband came very close to completing both collections. Mind you, this wasn't even the big Chamblins! Staff was warm and friendly, helpful and happy. We drove 2.5 hours to visit, and can't wait to go back!

On my weekend, visit to Jacksonville, I visited both locations and I prefer the uptown location. I thought it was better organized more spacious, better ventilation, and overall, just aesthetically my vibe, and I love the cafe in front as well. I'm a knitter and I found these five knitting books and I also visited a local craft store and found this skein of yarn

If you love books, this place is for you!! The amount of book for sale is incredible, on any subject you can imagine. They aisles are labeled by subject, and their helpful personnel can help you easily find books you're interested in. I only went to one location (evidently the bigger one) but they also sell books online.

I loved walking through all the aisles. Book stores are some of my favorite places and Chamblins is one of the best.
