Red Dog Books Indianapolis

This place is ran,monitored,and stocked by volunteers. I am truly impressed that they are as organized as they are. The young lady behind the counter, I am thinking her name was Cassie, was very nice and very informative of the prices and locations of different genres of books that my husband and I were looking for. We spent about 80 dollars and got 22 books. I can see this place as a warehouse of books. They are kind of like the Costco of books. Things here are stacked and sideways. They have handicapped parking. The front door for entry can accommodate a wheel chair. However there is a small 2-4 inch step down at the door. There restrooms for customers. Right now they have two chairs in the front. They have a large religious and Christianity section. Check out the photos and prices. You can't get these prices at the big box stores. You know they say that location is everything in business. It would be worth your drive to come to this book store. They have gained the title of the half/half price book stores for me. My husband and I always tend to get books for family during Christmas. We usually end up going to half price books. We will now be going to red dogs books. The books are used and new. A place where one can lose track of time exploring through a truly massive amount of used books. This newly opened store is still filling its shelves and taking care to keep like with like and the same author together on the shelves, while still maintaining the hunting for treasure vibes.

I absolutely love this bookstore and it was always worth the long drive to visit ❤️❤️ I’m so sad they have closed their physical store, but I am hoping that they will find a new building and re-open in the future. They are such a wonderful non-profit that does such great things for the community. I will continue following them and supporting them in the WhatNot App. I love these people ❤️❤️

It is such a great place of varied books, so homegrown, it's throwbackish feel reminds me of the 90s comfort, and the welcoming vibe the two hosts extends to anyone that visits, is so friendly and open; it makes you want to come again and again.

Small, struggling local bookstore. Wonderful selection AND people. Online shopping is now available too. Shop there and help keep them afloat! *Update: just received my 1st online order and it was like Christmas! Full of fun surprises, books selected with care. <3

This is basically a used book warehouse - all shoved into this building. The people were good to work with and the prices were cheap. Not a lot of indexing, just books broken up by category, but lot of treasure!
