Coliseum of Comics Gainesville

I stopped in to sell some Magic cards and was genuinely surprised by how unwelcome I was made to feel. The employee who helped me, Campbell, was dismissive, huffy, and clearly irritated that I was there. From the start, his tone and body language made it obvious that I was an inconvenience. There was no effort to explain the process, no basic courtesy, and no professionalism. I understand that not every transaction is exciting, but treating a customer like they’re a burden is unacceptable. When someone walks into your store, they’re choosing to support your business. Acting like their presence is a hassle is a quick way to lose that support. I left feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend a shop that treats customers this way. Every other shop that I go to has been helpful and happy that I’m there and I always tend to return and patronize the establishment. This one however will not be receiving another visit as long as this person is there.

Best and cleanest comic book store that I've visited in the area. Came in for browsing the comic books, stayed to check out the cards behind the counter. The entire store looked exceptionally clean and it seemed overall well-organized. The front desk guy (Austin) greeted us as we were walking in and he got in a real deep conversation with my husband about MtG before more customers came in. I ended up buying a special $190 FF MtG pack for my hubby's belated birthday present and got a few comic books for myself. We'd come back again 🙂 thanks for a welcoming first visit.

My boys and I love the Pokemon community at Coliseum and the store itself. It's always friendly, fun, and a great place to enjoy playing together. We love how nice & helpful the staff and Professors are and how much the store supports the gaming community! Highly recommend!

Great store great staff. The staff is always willing to help and they have a lot of knowledge about anything you ask. A very friendly environment and always welcoming. Great selection of products and good prices. I always find great deals and good quality products

One of the best LCS in Gainesville. They always have great deals/rewards. My only gripe is 30% trade in credit on singles is wayyyy too low. This always guarantees a low amount of inventory when it comes to singles

Update (6/26) I've been back a few times since the initial visit and review and haven't really had the same experience. The other workers don't seem as well informed about their products and honestly didn't seem interested in helping me find what I was asking about. Overall still a cool store with a very social vibe but I'd prefer a little bit better business acumen and reliability. ****************************** Hadn't been to the store since it switched over a few years ago to coliseum of Comics. Pleasantly surprised! Went in today to pick up some new comic reprints and was pretty impressed by the store's inventory. If you're into gaming they got you covered, and for guys like me they have a pretty decent selection of vintage Comics actually. Bought a few Silver age Superman off the wall and some other cool vintage back issues. Austin was very cool and welcoming. We will be back!

Great shop for TCGs, miniatures, RPG, and comics. They have one of the better selections of paint among the stores in Gainesville. They have two tables setup for 40k. Overall one of my favorite places to visit.
