NDSU Bookstore

Please go back to picking up our own textbooks in the basement. There is no reason some other person from behind a counter should be handing them to us. Then we cannot assess the quality of the book (if we intend to resell it). It is absolutely unfair to let employees choose the textbooks from behind a counter. A professional bookstore should have textbooks available on shelving so the customer has the time to look them over, which is not possible when there is an enormous line behind you. It really confuses and disappoints me that our bookstore feels like a pharmacy rather than a traditional bookstore--I know that you will continue to hand out our textbooks from behind a counter, but it really really disappoints me because it is unfair that we cannot look over the textbooks before we buy them, and it also takes away that fun and exciting experience from us as students and replaces it with waiting in line. And trust me, I have had to purchase over 30 textbooks and non-textbooks from you. So I have experienced this disappointment and frustration (which used to be excitement and content) many times. But I love NDSU, so I hope they will one day fix this issue.

There should be separate lines for people picking up textbooks and people picking up other packages. Expect to wait in line for a long, long time at the bookstore during the first few weeks of the semester. Additionally, there is usually only one person working at the pickup window. I feel really bad that a single person has to wait on a line of 30+ people. It’s not an efficient process at all, and it was the same way last year. Nice sweatshirts though.

The NDSU bookstore is a fantastic place to buy all your NDSU needs! They have a wonderful selection of books, school supplies, hobby materials, and class materials. The employees (both full time and students) are always quick, attentive, and friendly as well. Check it out and GO BISON!

Usually good selection, most of the student workers have a great attitude, but the older staff can be awfully rude. One employee in particular always can be very off putting and rude. This makes me not even want to purchase my supplies from the bookstore...

Needed my books before spring semester started but they count the weekend before classes start as holiday break so they’re closed. Not ideal for people who work full time and are also going to school. Can’t expect me to be prepared for classes to start if I can’t even get my books before they do

Used textbook prices are generally higher than other places I can shop at. There is alot to choose from for bison apparel and gear. Great place to pick up supplies between classes.

A bit expensive clothing wise, but everything else is reasonably priced and nice to have available so close to the dorms. There's also sales on Fridays before home games.
