Comix Revolution Evanston

Its a nice shop and the staff member was polite. I collect vintage comics, mostly from the 1970s and 1980s, and they don't carry that. They carry books from the last few years. So, not really for me. Edit..changed this to 2 stars since I asked the employee if there were any other comic book shops in town, and they told me they were the only comic book shop in Evanston. Next day I found the much superior Heroines and Heroes over on Central Street...in Evanston.

Walked into this store to kill time while we were waiting for our daughter to be done at her hairdresser's next door. Quite an experience seeing the range of comics on offer. Found an issue of MAD magazine that I picked up for old time's sake. Our son found a complete set of a Japanese Manga series called Demon Slayer. And then there were the Marvel and DC sets too. The staff member handling the store was super friendly.

I have seen this store a few times and popped in the other day on a whim. I am not a comic collector or anything but just enjoy reading them. Wow I was so surprised on the gem I was missing out on. There is a large variety of section for a shop so small. Tons of different genres of comics, enough for most people. I picked up a couple but wanted more. They also have a lot of wonderful book selections in a small space. Lots of cute plushies and small toys too. Shop owner was quite but very kind. I did not get to see it all the selection and it will give me a reason to come back !

Good selection. Staff is always helpful and knowledgeable. They know their inventory. With four kids, none walk out empty-handed. Parking is right around the corner and there are good places to eat and visit if you make the trip from outside of Evanston.

Nice little shop. I wish the person behind the register was a bit more informative about what they are selling though. I told him that I am buying a comic book for my 6 year old and he said what I picked is great. But when we got home, we discovered that there are swear words in it. Not a big deal. I crossed them out with a sharpie, but it would have helped to know in advance.

A few books in their window caught my eye and I had to stop in to browse their excellent selection. I'm looking forward to coming back when I have more time! There wery friendly people working inside and I'm bummed I didn't have more time to stay and chat/shop.

We stopped in for a birthday gift for a friend. It’s a great small comic book shop. I loved that it had sections like lgbtq, black history, and locally written. It looked to have a pretty descent anime section as well! Def check this place out!
