By far the best used book store I have found (including Chicago). Great selection and prices. Definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic assortment of books. In the classical music section I found a pristine copy of a biography of one of my favorite musicians, a book I long told myself I’d buy one day, for 1/3 of the big store price! Will return soon

I love used book stores and this hidden gem in Evanston is rare nowadays. With many hard to find books, very reasonably priced, I can find myself easily spending hours just browsing. It's off the beaten path and you'd never stumble upon it. Nonetheless, there's not another bookstore like it within miles.

Used bookstores are the greatest gift that the universe has given to us. In terms of those in the North Side area of Chicago, this is probably the best. They have one of the best selections I have seen, cheap prices, and a chill ass vibe.

Amaranth Books has a really great collection of historical books and vintage books. You can find some great deals from the moment you walk past the doorstep. They also have cds (mainly classical music). I've been to a lot of bookstores and this one is up there in terms of ambiance and selection. The prices are fair and reasonable too.

We called ahead and found out the shop was open on Sunday. The shop was very clean and well maintained. We spent about an hour browsing through all the books. Theres a good amount of classical literature and great variety in non-fiction. The theology and US War sections were the largest for non fiction. I didn't find any foreign language books or Italian history books. Prices are very affordable. I got three books under 20! There's also $3, $2, and $1 shelves but I didn't find anything for me on them.
