Tattered Cover Book Store & Café Colfax

Love this store! I could wander it all day. Make sure you check out the bargain books in the basement! They didn't have the book I wanted but I didn't leave empty handed. Plenty of wonderful options.

Quiet, clean, friendly staff, great atmosphere for studying. Cafe is awesome! Oh and there’s tons of books.

Definitely visit the used and discount section downstairs. The employees are super warm and helpful people. Feels a little bit magical.

Enjoyed visiting this book store and browsing the large selection. While I mostly stayed in the fiction and fantasy areas, I also noticed they had a cool assortment of books in a mythology section. One of the booksellers helped recommend books, and I’m excited to start reading those recommendations. My daughter and husband also enjoyed the children’s area in the middle of the store. It’s worth noting that this store was recently acquired by Barnes and Noble, per signs in the store.

Wonderful bookstore. Great children's section, a huge selection of moderately priced used books in the basement, and a chill and relaxed atmosphere. And being one who reads exclusively non-fiction, they have a great selection of history/political/biographies. The attached café has the usual lattes and coffees and such. We could have been there for hours, but our toddler lost her patience after a while. 🙂

Spacious store, tons of books (old and new), great gifts and a nice place to spend time. We wandered around for half an hour and had to leave. On our way out we realized there is a downstairs too. Guess we will have to go back!
