Barnes & Noble

Pros: plenty of parking, professional employees, everything is easily accessable on one floor, baskets available for carrying your books Cons: selection is lacking even considering the small size, no dedicated children's' reading section I'm glad Conroe finally has a B&N, but it's just not as good as any of the B&Ns in Houston. The selection of books is meh. It seems like they put more into vinyl, children's toys, and gifts, than they did into books. The store has an ok layout, though the location of the cafe is odd, and nothing in the store has enough space dedicated to it. The modern look and feel works well here, and they've tried their best to fit as much possible into the space they have, I just don't think it works well enough to justify its existence. The space would have been much better as a HPB 🫤.

Beautiful setup. This is the first Barnes and Noble that I have been to in years. As I don't live close to a branch store. I love the ambiance of the store - very welcoming. You never know what you will find around each corner. Kinda reminiscent of a labyrinth, but maybe that is just me. I can't wait to peruse the bookshelves. ::squee::

The legendary place for bibliophiles! Big selection and very helpful staff. Got what I wanted and was out the door quickly!

I used to love coming here, however, today, while we were shopping for stocking stuffers, my wife was approached by an employee while she had her daughter with her, and told her that she was not welcome there because someone was upset at the fact that she had too much skin showing. She was told that if she did not imedietly leave, they would call the police to have her physically removed and file trespassing charges against her. They waited until I was not nearby to approach my wife, indicating that they knew it is inappropriate to fetishize someone for what they are wearing. I will only be returning to the store to return the gifts that I have purchased due to this egregious act of sexualization and humiliation towards my wife and child, and I will be filing a sexual harrassment complaint to the corporate headquarters.

Good location. Generous parking. Good atmosphere. Great personnel.

This Barnes and Nobles is absolutely beautiful and so well laid out. The employees were pleasant and helpfu. And the selection was desirable.

Two stars, only because your service here is bar-none, some of the best I have experienced to date from a B&N... Ever. Unfortunately, your interior design team seems to think that walking into a store that is decorated and painted to look similar to one of a family just moving into their new home is a groundbreaking marketing vehicle that is going tp bring in stampedes of new and excited customers. Everything is unpacked, and where it should be, however, there is absolutely ZERO of anything to make longtime customers want to come back for that "Barnes and Noble" feel, or keep new customers from wanting to go with Amazon for their next book purchase. In essence, I just left my house to go to a place that makes me wonder if I ever even left my house. I'll explain. Thid store's feel, look and visual esthetics that let you know you are now entering the premises of a place that actually motivates you to read is plainly just not here. You have your employees here at the wrong location. Is this Barnes & Noble, or is this an IKEA warehouse for books? What ever happened to the feeling of walking into a darker green, oakwood feel with your dark brown shelves. Although having those darker tones, still successful in retaining that bright and welcoming feel. The one giving you the memorable moment thst you were just at a Barnes & Noble. That feeling that you're ready to Crack open that 500pg book, and finish it in one sitting as soon as you get back to your residence. Sad to say, that this is not the place. This place has no comfortable seating, with no directive to remind you that you are in a Barnes & Noble besides the bags you leave with. Either this place was running behind on schedule and needed a quick and generic slap-up together, or the new route that B&N in its hiring department has taken equal opportunity to a whe new level. The point I'm trying g to make is that, whoever got the go-ahead on this design and color, was probably thinking that everyone leaves their home to go to a bookstore that has a very similarly generic wallpaint and wall decor as their own home. B&N is supposed to be a memorable experience. But this place makes me wonder if I ever even left my home to begin with
