Was in the area exploring and wound up being a few blocks from this bookstore, so I had to pop in. Loved chatting with the sales associate who I had met the day before at a local artists market. This is the perfect size little shop with a good variety of books, stickers, cards, and other fun gifty items. Would recommend stopping in if you're in the area and like support indie bookstores.

i love this place so much!!!!! they're sooo kind and helpful. i once called them about a book i heard about on NPR and they held a signed copy for me to pick up the next day. I've gotten fiction, nonfiction, gifts, puzzles, stationary, you name it!!! i also just found out they also have a free local delivery option on their website for people within the 45223. delivered with a hand written thank you on the front of the wrapping the very next day 😭 can't say enough nice and positive things about downbound. ditch amazon, shop local!!! 💘

Downbound Books was great! I had never been before and found the atmosphere to be quiet and relaxing, the worker was kind, and the book selection was refreshing to see something other than endless NYT bestsellers.

Amazing bookstore. Great selection, great prices, their politics are on point. This is the place where you wanna spend your money at.

I finally got to take my young boys to use their gift cards at this phenomenal neighborhood bookstore since they've opened back up for in-person browsing. My oldest (10) was really taking his time going through their small, but very carefully curated children's section. Sarah, who is amazing (!!), came over and asked him a few questions about his recent reads and favorites, and then appeared with an armful of additional books for him to peruse. So thoughtful and knowledgeable. Love it!! He chose three of her recommendations and is currently enjoying them. Highly recommend!
