Kitty Kingdom Cat Café

I am disappointed to see any negative reviews of this place as that may impact the adoption of the cats. We just moved to Chesapeake and checked them out a few times. All the staff have been friendly and seem to care a lot about all the cats. It is a much nicer environment for the animals than being in cages. All of the cats looked well cared for, and seem happy. Please, for the sake of all the cats trying to find loving homes, give them a chance and let’s uplift those places trying their best to make a difference in the lives of these animals. The coffee was good, and I was more than happy to support a business working so hard to make a difference. We adopted a AMAZING kitty today and the adoption process is so sweet, my kids got to sign his adoption certificate and got to turn the number on the adoption counter. Thank you for what you are doing, and thank you for helping us find the second best friend for our family. We adore our new kitty 💜💜

Cutest place ever!!!! Today my mom took me and my 11 year old daughter here and we had a great experience. All the cats were adorable and super nice. I was impressed with how everything looked inside, nice and clean. They had some little bakery type stuff and teas and coffee. Such a cute idea. I'm glad we went. The girl who was working today was very kind and helpful.

We visited Kitty Kingdom Café with high hopes, as we have been here before and have relatives who have successfully adopted cats from this café. Unfortunately, this visit was much less than stellar. The staff member working the register was not very friendly, which set a disappointing tone right away. More concerning, while in the adult cat section, my daughter was bitten and scratched by a cat. We fully understand that signing a waiver means there is some risk involved when interacting with animals. However, what was upsetting was the lack of concern or empathy shown afterward, especially given that a child was injured. The incident was unprovoked, and at the very least, we expected staff to check on her and acknowledge what happened. That said, I do want to note that the woman who helped me with our reservation over the phone was kind and professional. That interaction was a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing visit. We truly want to support organizations that help cats find loving homes, but this experience left us hesitant to return.

I went to visit KKCC today and it was awesome! The staff were kind and helpful, going above and beyond to provide quality service. The cats and kittens were unbelievably cute and cuddle-friendly. I ordered two drinks and they were super tasty! The rooms were also very clean and the atmosphere was quite nice. Parking was accessible too, which was a huge bonus!

My daughter found this place online and has been dying to go so yesterday we made the trip. The adult cats are separated from the kittens. We paid for an hour and spent a half hour in each room. The kittens definitely get all of the attention and that room was a little crowded so we took time to get a snack. The food was not worth it in my opinion. We got the Tea Party, which was a carafe of tea and some goodies, but at least it came in cute little tea cups. The staff was really nice and definitely were attentive to what was going on. The cats all looked to be in good health and are used to all the attention. The building was clean, especially for that many cats and the eating area is seperate. All in all it was a good experience.

We adopted both of our cats from here. This place is perfect if you want to adopt: all of their cats are house trained, good with other animals, polite, and easy to approach. So much better than adopting directly from a shelter. If you have no intention to adopt, you will still very much enjoy the experience. The staff is amazing, and the atmosphere is very peaceful. You can hang out in the central area of the cafe for free after you have visited the kitties.

I went here all the time when I was in Virginia!!! Litterally heaven on earth! The cats are so cute.
