Ed's Bookshop

Ed is such a knowledgeable guy, loves Texas history (as do I), and has a nice variety of books. The store is well thought out, well organized and neat. A gem of a local bookstore, we were lucky we found it.

Ed’s Book Shop is small but quantity should never be confused with quality. Ed’s is the epitome of quaint and possibly quirky but with a book for every person who walks in the door. And Ed is one of the fairest individuals I have ever met. Whether buying or selling he treats his customers with respect both in terms of the books he buys and sells but also in terms of the prices he puts on each. Respect and an attitude that there is no such thing as a "worthless" book, are the hallmarks of how Ed deals with his customers. Go in and browse. You’ll find something you want.

Unplanned a visit to Bryan, TX, and came across Ed's bookshop. I forsee myself planning to visit Bryan, TX just to find and purchase more books from here. If you are into vintage books, this is the place.

Great selection, come get a book to read to the kiddos or something new for your personal collection. Just don’t dare let your mask fall below your nose lest you get berated

This a really interesting bookstore. I bought a text written by scholars from Rice in 1963 reflecting the state of science, education and man and it is interesting to hear their thoughts and predictions from over 50 years ago. You can find some unique books here.

Stumbled across this delightful little bookshop in downtown Bryan during First Friday. Ed has a great selection of old books with an emphasis on Texas and World History. Took home a near perfect first edition Game of Thrones book at an incredible price!

Really cute book store! Not the biggest selection but I highly recommend especially if you’re looking for any classic literature or anything involving Texas history. Reasonably priced, friendly, easy to browse, and so many beautiful books, I will definitely be returning
