Terrace Books

I was looking forward to perusing this shop’s selection as I was visiting friends in the neighborhood. It is quaint and they do offer plenty of popular titles, however, I was unable to last more than five minutes in the store. A woman, that I presume to be a manager of some sort, was incessantly complaining to the poor employee at the cash rep in the front, who, because they are on payroll, could only issue one word replies to her repetitious rant on (frequent?) issues regarding book locations/ logistics/ letting down a big client. Unable to bear the repeated lash on a dead horse, I ran out of the store - uncomfortable and annoyed. That one sided conversation would have best been said in private, as it reflected extremely poorly on the business.

I enjoyed the books they have available and the staff was real helpful! I love the location and the chairs out front make a relaxing place to read also. They have fun stationaries and merch that's sweet too

Lovely shop, well stocked, and wonderful sales staff - friendly and helpful. I suggest putting a sign /sandwich board or something on PPS directing customers to the store as it is a little out of the way….

Charming local spot. Stopped in for a quick gift + card + they wrapped up my book for me with ribbon! Will definitely be back.

This is such a lovely bookstore with a great curation of authors and a range of genres — including both children’s and adults’ sections! The staff are also incredibly warm and helpful. Highly recommend Terrace Books.

Nice neighborhood book store that's actually bigger than it looks on the outside. The diversity of the authors whose books are available is another impressive to me. One can spend hours here just browsing at books before they know it. Also, should you not find what you are looking for on the shelves, the awesome staff will check their warehouese and see if they can help you getting the book(s). They'll notify you on arrival and you simply pick up. The staff are not only friendly, they are also knowledgeable too. Highly recommended!
