Will be a returning customer, the pistachio ice cream was amazing. The front of house was attentive and helpful. Lemonade is a must after a long day. Highly recommend this place. Limited space but very comforting. Will come back to taste more of the menu.

I love the concept and I think it is much needed on this side of town. This place represents growth and I love that. It is cute in there but very small. A few down sides, it is too dimly lit and the tables were not clean when I came in. Pros, customer service and overall ambience. I truly hope this place succeeds and last for a very long time. I surely will be back with my kids and this time will take some good pictures.

I have to go back here and try something else off the menu because I am bias to crepes which one of my favorite foods and would give it a five all day so to be fair I will be going back to hopefully be able to try the Cape Verdean Tuna pizza! My visit was awesome, Dr. Paris and her sister were very friendly and accommodating as I ordered the Berries and Nutella Crepe minus the Bananas because I wasn’t craving bananas… But sometimes things happen for a reason… My crepe came with bananas and usually I would point it out and have the error fixed but something told me to try it… I did and from now on I will keep the sliced bananas with the order as it comes… The bananas added to the flavor and that potassium boost is good for you anyway… So this will be the first time that an error turned into a positive experience. This place is a nice quiet spot on a Sunday afternoon to stop and take in a book to read over a good meal. I’m definitely going back for the dinner time experience!

I have been waiting for this place to open 🤩 Happened to briefly speak to the owner last week but didn’t have time to stop in. Finally made it today on my lunch, so glad I did. Lovely environment, great staff, sweet customers and a surprisingly diverse assortment of books for all ages. Heard the Dr plans to expand? Please do, I’d love to host a little art gallery event there sometime if that’s something you’d be receptive to ☺️ So proud of this venture of yours Dr. Ellie!

Hand made breakfast in a super small area yet it taste better than most big restaurants. Why? Because it’s made with love. Sadly when we went they were understaffed, using a new system and busy so the wait was longer than should be expected. Dr. Ellie acknowledged this consistently apologizing and providing samples to burn time. Once we got the food and drinks it changed the whole mood. Adding take out or order ahead option would be a good idea. If you have the time definitely worth every penny and second.

The shop associate was sweet and gave everyone large scoops. The ice cream was delicious and reasonably priced. I will definitely go back. The bathroom was clean too.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Google Review I stopped into Dr. Ellie’s Social Bookstore today and I’m glad I finally did. This place is a gem in downtown Brockton. I grabbed a Portuguese Bomb and a juice, and both were spot on. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and has that real community feel we don’t see enough of anymore. You can tell Dr. Ellie put her heart into this place. It’s the kind of spot that makes you slow down for a minute, enjoy good food, and appreciate the culture that makes Brockton special. If you’re downtown, make the time to stop in—you won’t regret it. This is exactly the type of business we should be supporting and celebrating in our city. Highly recommend.
